4TH RANKED PUBLIC GOLF COURSE IN THE US/PACIFIC DUNES PART 1
PACIFIC DUNES GOLF COURSE was Designed by one of the best designers in the business Tom Doak and opened in 2001. This is the second course constructed at Bandon Dunes Resort and the highest ranked among the resort’s four 18s on the property. Pacific Dunes might be the most scenic and beautiful course we have ever played. 2019 it was listed by Golf Digest as the 2nd Greatest Public Course in the country and the best course in Oregon. I'd love to see the PGA tour out here for a big event with no cut line on a windy week...sounds fun to me!
The winds picked up to 30mph and the greens were a little bit slower than Bandon Dunes...so we had to adjust our game from how Bandon Dunes played the day before. Like Tom Watson says "when it's breeze swing easy" You must live by this rule in these windy conditions. We found there could be as much as 5 club difference on any given shot. There were times when the caddie would say 135 playing like its 170-175. We are just hoping we will learn how to break 80 in the wind at Pacific Dunes. I've said it before and I'll say it again it's hard to pick a favorite out here at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, all the course offer a different look a what a great golf course is.
I just love the Tom Doak designed golf courses and this is my favorite! This course is so awesome! Thank you Mr. Doak for designing such a masterpiece!

Unbelievable bunkering on this course. Having to clear "whispies" out of a bunker is something new. B-ski and JC are ready for battle it looks like.

Hey guys another day of great golf 😀 boy some of the bunkers looked brutal however you all managed to get out ok. JC long hitter heck man I think that you should hit like a 5iron off the tee give you a different approach shot yardage to the green , driving iron /sand wedge got to be getting boring 😴 LOL 😂. I did love this course, i shot 94 with 2 birdies and 3 pars, fun as heck and well worth the $340, plus $100 for the caddy..can't wait to play the others. Thanks good job on the video...

What a trip for the Golfholics boys! What I'd like to know is how much the caddies enjoyed the day with real golfers? Not a group of 20 some handicappers like myself.

Nope will never happen. Town only has 3500 people, airport is tiny, not enough restaurants and or hotel space to host 100k people

Okay! I didn't want to be negative on the editing twice in a row so I didn't comment on the last vid but found the constant flashing of scores very annoying. The timing was terrible too, just when something was going to happen this terrible flashing effect happened in a corner. I like the new graphics in the top corner, simple and easy to read, the flash is more subtle and timed much better. Less is better, it's quality golf, good commentary so what more do you need! Keep up the good work guys. This Canadian needs to get to the Dunes.

Loving every second of the videos, one teeny tiny complaint tho, when a good shot is played try keep the camera on the ball, I understand if it's a long distance but when balls are rolling along the green we hear u guys get excited an the camera goes up an the balls out of shot, sorry promise I won't complain again ha, big fan ⛳🏌️we missed jc's bunker shot.

Seeing that their were no electric carts, how long was the round duration?
tiger woods we were a little over 4 hours I believe for every round. Pace of play was great we never waited any of the 4 days that I can recall

We were hustling as usual and completed each round 4 to 4:15 each day. And our caddies did an amazing job helping us!!
tiger woods yup no problem! They had a Marshall out there keeping tabs on everyone and the caddies have some sort of gps thing they have to carry so they know where everyone is at

The putting green is similar to the Himalayas at St Andrews but not quite as undulating

Most of the GH crew (8 guys) liked Bandon Dunes the best. The greens were absolutely perfect when we played! All the courses are a treat to play and in 2021 we’re heading back for some Sheep’s Ranch! So as a OR boy what’s your favorite?
