The Platts are the perfect example of family longevity in a soap. Eastenders have a huge issue with constantly introducing huge families and then a year or two later, the majority of the actors have left so it’s hard to connect with them. Corrie must be doing something right to be able to keep its team for so long!!

he will turn into the best representative of the gay community that coronation street will have had since the local vicar and his on and off boyfriends... though david will always have a special place in my heart for having slept with some random man he was only dating for a couple of weeks... thought he was straight all these years so was a shock to me
