    Great work Oliver. Really creative and methodical tutorial. It was great to see how this library works with live piano. I used to own the Uad Apollo and I have to say it gave me subjectively better results than going native. Glad to see you are still enjoy using those plugins. Makes me think I should go back to it.

    This sounds crazy good! Feel the music and of course, the Abbey Road One has a very nice sound. Unfortunately not completely without lagatos. Such a shame. But if it is 40% cheaper this year like the BBCSO on Black Friday, then it will be bought this year! I hope for the best

    Why doesn't Spitfire have downloadable Logic Pro session files of these arrangements? That would help me learn much better seeing the actual settings and which instruments play which parts. If Spitfire is concerned they'd lose views and thus pay, I'd say charge for it. I'd pay $100 for the arrangements I've seen in videos in Logic Pro Session format.

    • @ericgriffin120

    • @Yonsdaspaceghost
      @Yonsdaspaceghost Před 3 lety +1

      @@ericgriffin120 terrible take. Other companies provide midi files, they can be copywritten. I don't think anyone that has spent $500 plus for a spitfire library is in the business of stealing

    • @smiley122688
      @smiley122688 Před 2 lety

      because the point of these videos is to show you how to use the sound of the libraries not to teach you how to compose that's why they don't mention anything about composition or harmony but only focus on sound and orchestration

    • @mybiggrin
      @mybiggrin Před 2 lety

      Ears are your greatest resource. You can slow down the video in the settings if you need, and start plunking on your keyboard and you'll figure it out. Cheers.

    • @Yonsdaspaceghost
      @Yonsdaspaceghost Před 2 lety

      @@mybiggrin Time is actually my greatest resource. It would save a lot of time if they just provided downloadable session files so I can focus my ears on making music instead of trying to figure out the technical aspects all on my own. Which is why other companies do so. I haven't seen one good rebuttal to my initial comment. Spitfire should do this.

    Oliver, I enjoyed your video demonstrating Abbey Road One. I saw your video on this two years before but wasn't ready to get it then. They still didn't have other single instrument yet back then.
    But today they had a sale on it for the Abbey Road One Collection. The regular price was 841.00, the price was 489.14. So I got it today and I am downloading it as I am typing this now. Lol 😆
    So I went back to look it up to get the right price and saw that the sale went up in price after I got it.
    It's now on sale for 589.00.
    Save me some money today lol. Still a good price. But I like my price much better.
    Anyway, thanks for the great demo and I look forward to seeing your new videos.
    😁👍

    You've created a lovely and moving composition that deserves a library with true legato patches. I hope you'll redo it once those are all available.

    • @musicproductioncentral4540
      @musicproductioncentral4540 Před 3 lety

      If you had heard a demo before release, and were not told of no legato, you would never have even known. I'll bet a million dollars you've never actually scored anything.

    Hi Oliver. I really enjoyed this piece. I was wondering about the solo cello and oboe as AR1 Foundations is only ensembles and Low Strings Selections library appears to have no Cello solo.

  • @mevaldantis
    @mevaldantis Před 3 lety

    Hi Oliver, thanks for this video. It gave me really good insights on Abbey Roads' potential. But i did have a query with regard to the gear you were using, specifically the KORG nanokontrol 2 for the expression and dynamics. I wanted to split the nanokontrol to 3 faders for orchestral midi control whilst not disturbing the other 5 (which are generally used for mixing setup). Does your setup work in this way? If yes, I would be really grateful if you could share a template.
    Thanks!

    Great, moving composition! And the gorgeous tone of the strings is amongst the best I've heard from samples. But this makes the lack of true legato even more of an issue. Legato should be IMO topping the list for coming packs or updates!

    Great composition and fantastic sound!
    Except for your piano, are all the instrument sounds from Abbey Road? Or did I misunderstand something?
    I already have Abbey Road, but am currently working with BBCO Core and had therefore not yet looked at Abbey Road intensively.
    Tomorrow or today after sleeping I'll take a closer look.

    Thank you for your presentation. I don't have an all orchestral library. After listening to your demonstration of ARO, would this be a choice for a first library or your Albion One for a first library?

    • @matrixate
      @matrixate Před 2 lety

      This is NOT a first library because this library has no legato. If you had to choose between the two, Albion One would be the definitive choice. I would not get either though. I would suggest getting starter kits from VSL.
