Since you wanted to hear more from the Pink Floyd background singers, you should check out GREAT GIG IN THE SKY live at the Pulse Concert. The 3 background singers are the ONLY vocalists in this song.
I did, check it out: czcams.com/video/YkQAbPHpAuc/video.html
When Pink Floyd was recording their first album (Piper at the Gates of Dawn), the Beatles were next door recording Sgt Pepper. Can you imagine being in Apple studios at that time?
I shouldn't worry about the Beatles comparison, as Gilmour rated them the best band ever. If you want to hear the background singers really strutting their stuff check out The Great Gig in the Sky from the same concert.
I saw that oneđ which is why I wanted more from them lol check it out: czcams.com/video/YkQAbPHpAuc/video.html
@@LisaDeBose no you didnât. You need the original Clare torry version.
If you want to hear more of the background singers, take a listen to the song (Great Gig in the Sky) from the same concert,
(You wonât be disappointed)!!!
I was at Earlâs Court and witnessed this first hand. Itâs fun to see the younger generation showing their love for a band I first seen live in 1971
The best solo in live of the history
congratulations, you've now listened to the greatest version of the greatest guitar solo of all time
Sam Brown, Durga McBroom, Claudia Fontaine the backing singers.
The song is beautiful?.. but that solo is out of this world.
Gilmour at his best.
Pure magic!
Tony.
Yes, really good song, but guitar solos, well someone's bound to be the best ...
Saw this show live in April of 94 and it was out of this world! Surrounded by lights and sound! Best concert ever! Great reaction!
Mines was the 13th October 94 at Earls Court and still have the ticket stub along with a ton of others - I seen them first in 1971
Great reaction video - thank you!
I don't care what Gilmore say... People speak in 200 years about pink Floyd likes speaking for Mozart and Picasso. This is the greatest guitar solo live ever from the best concert in history of music.
That 'reverb or somethin' on his voice' is, I believe, if I remember right, phasing equipment that gives it that ethereal sound.
The guitar was the best vocalist in the video
Deal !!!
The blond singer is Sam Brown who has had 6 chart hits as a solo artist. She has worked with both Pink Floyd/David Gilmour and George Harrison amongst many others.
Waters left in 1985 and began a legal dispute over the use of the band's name and material. They settled out of court in 1987.
You didn't comment on the main singer in this song: Gilmour's Strat.
I did. I thought it was goodđđœ
If you really want more of the backing singers..... Check out :-
The Great Gig in the Sky (same Pulse Concert) đ
I saw that oneđ which is why I wanted more from them lol check it out: czcams.com/video/YkQAbPHpAuc/video.html
What you desire will be granted. The Great Gig In The Sky (PULSE).
I saw that oneđ which is why I wanted more from them lol check it out: czcams.com/video/YkQAbPHpAuc/video.html
Great gig in the sky will show you backup singers. No band ever gave a better song to the support cast.
It was so good!! czcams.com/video/YkQAbPHpAuc/video.html
@@LisaDeBose Wow, Iâm only now getting back to this but Iâm SO happy you got to see that performance! Itâs such a great song. For a live show itâs amazing and under-rated as a Floyd song. However, the original done by Claire Torre on Dark Side of the Moon is NEXT LEVEL. She basically improvved the whole thing and absolutely crushed it.
Keep Talkin features the backup singers nicely
Ty! I'll have to check it outđ
I think both the Beatles and Pink Floyd would consider it a compliment that you found similarities between the two.
Roger Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985 so only three originals. David Gilmour helped the 16 year-old Kate Bush record a more professional demo tape. Three tracks in total were recorded and paid for by Gilmour.[28] The tape was produced by Gilmour's friend Andrew Powell, who went on to produce Bush's first two albums,[25] and sound engineer Geoff Emerick, who had worked with the Beatles.[29] The tape was sent to EMI executive Terry Slater,[30] who signed her.[31] Wikipedia
Good god Britain has produced the best
not many people know this but Dave Gilmour actually wrote many of the Beatles songs.
honest.
Hi please do the Pulse concert version of On the Turning Away- it highlights the backup singers a lot more and the song has a powerful message that still relates to our present day life
Like every one else said, do the Great Gig in the Sky from the Pulse concert.
If you think the backing singers are good, then check out "The Great Gig in the Sky" from the same concert. I think you'll love the song and their performances.
