It's clear Megatron found Rampage with the intent to kill him and not recruit him into the Predacons. When the unique spark didn't get destroyed after cutting into it, he knew then and there the plan could change with a benefit.
He wanted to kill him? But why?
@@zoltanperei4789 Megatron was more than likely aware of Protoform X/Rampage's history and knew he wasn't the type to be taken under control willingly or obey any orders from either side, the Maximals or the Predacons. He more or less viewed him as an out of control wild animal that was a danger to any Cybertronian around much like he was before being put into the stasis pod on Cybertron. Only after cutting his spark in half did he realize he could then control Protoform X/Rampage using that as a tool. I'll also point out that in the later episode with Transmutate, Megatron knew she was too incompetent to be recruited into the Predacons and therefore ordered Rampage to destroy her if she wasn't useful. Besides Silverbolt, the Maximals wanted to put her in stasis lock as a more peaceful means of dealing with a poor minded Cybertronian that was not useful or a danger to itself and others around it, but Megatron was always the type to just say the hell with it and destroy them.
@@jeremiahakerman7333 Stop talking nonsense. Megatron never intended to destroy his spark. You think the Maximals were the only ones who were aware of the Protoform X project? Megatron was already aware of what Rampage was.
@@ashlirabid9614 of course he was aware. That's why he never bothered to recruit him. Megatron saw his regenerative body as a FAR more useful tool then to waste keeping him alive as a soldier.

Now the reason I bring up the arthropod when it comes to crabs and spiders alike, I used to be afraid of both when I was a kid, and I thought of a crab as a sea spider until I was old enough to tell the difference.
Rampage's beast mode is that of a coconut crab, which live on land on most of the time.

Rampage is freakishly large He's almost as large as transmetto 2 optimas and dragon Megatron. Well he is 2 inches taller then death charge. But still he is almost indestructible. Because of his muted spark.

No Optimus new about performance and what they were supposed to do but Megatron didn't know because he was on a stolen ship.

Actually considering everything come after Beast Machines,ı do consider that show as great follow up. Sure they have rough start with 5 ep,but after ep 6, character do start to act like their beast wars versions. And its much better than Unicron trilogy.
Animation is not stiff. Characters developed preety well from the start. No filler episode. And most important of all,no annoying human character that makes you mad.
5:06 I- I- arggg the Stupid, it hurts. X is an immortal, unstoppable monster, and worse yet, the Preds know about him, and Primal wants to leave him there, still functional and unguarded. This is why I hate Primal. If Dinobot or Rattrap had been there they would have been all "What the slag, you idiot!" But not them 3 bozos -_-
Really, the writers could have at least left Cheetor there and have Megs scrap him; that would have be soooo much more satisfying, yessss.
Anyways, my point is I much rather thank X for tearing Tarantulas to scrap. You shoulda scene the look on Tarantulas' face when X came outta nowhere when he found an empty stasis pod.

i know rampage was made a crab to fit his fight sequences with depth charge, but at least let his pod crash on a beach or something more logical. how is the pod supposed to scan a crab in the jungle?
