We've gone to war together, died and bled together for 300+years, why would anyone want to throw away what has been so hard fought to achieve, I know its romantic to think we can all go it alone, and while the celtic nations all have quarrels from the past with uncle England, we should try to forget those and look to a bright future, one in which we are stronger as a team than as seperate fractured parts. Sure, we all consider ourselves Welsh,Scottish,Northern Irish or English before considering ourselves British, but we are British nonetheless. All the talk about Multiculturalism within the UK, lets not forget the original multiculturalism we had between us, pre-mass immigration :) Peace all!

During that period Scotland would have had to renegotiate with the EU as to whether it could remain within the EU as a former constituent part of a current EU member, or whether it would have to negotiate a completely new deal, or not. The point being, nothing would have been as cut and dried as Unionists would have us believe. Given the Scottish government's more pro EU stance, there is good reason to suppose a deal could have been achieved, certainly a deal better than has been achieved by the Brexit fiasco.

The nobles tried to establish a failed colony in Panama and became bankrupt and deicided to join England in hopes of profiting off of its empire. After this, England decimated Scottish culture. Not to mention the highland clearings, where Scottish and English noblemen under the English king’s support murdered highlanders and set their homes on fire. Even now, Scotland is dragged down by how weak England is in supporting itself and our wallet is drained. We send £60 billion to westminister and only receive £35 billion back. We give the UK 90% of its fresh water as well and almost all of its oil.
