Second - are there any separate queues in the 3 major museums on the free admission times, suitable for people who would simply like to pay for the tickets on the spot and go in, without the need to wait along with all the rest ? i guess there is but just want to make sure. thanks!
Thanks for your words, Alon. Your question is excellent. We suspect the ticket office is still opened during the free visiting hours, but we don't see why someone would want to visit the Prado (or the other museums) paying for the entrance at at time when there are unbearably full. To us, the stressful experience only makes sense if you don't pay for the ticket. All the best.
Amazing videos!! Very helpful for planning my visit to Madrid ❤ . I would like to ask if the passes are "skip the line". Refering to the "Abono del paseo del arte" and the "tarjeta anual". Is there a different entrance in the big 3 museums for them? Thank you!!!
Thank you. Last time we asked at the queue, they said with the "Tarjeta anual" you just take the queue of those with a valid entry (as opposed to the queue for those waiting to buy one). But we aren't 100% that continues to be the case. You will have to queue when you buy the pass for the first time.

Hello Tony. Thank you for you videos.I go to Madrid in the spring. Question: If I buy the single ticket admission for the 'great trio' ,is the extra cost for special exhibitons I want to see , available at the door for that day ? Currently, the online ticket purchasing for the' trio ticket 'are not clear ,or appear to offer supplemental purchase for their special exhibitions. I am now thinking of buying separate tickets,to insure I see their special exhibitions on the single day I go to one of the three museums. Gracias,Will.
Hi William, good question, and I'm afraid you know the answer, we just don't know, as you've discovered, reliable information is hard to find. Those passes do not tend to include special exhibitions, but from time to time they make an exception. As the passes don't sell out, we would advise you to check the conditions once in Madrid, before buying any pass.

I am visiting Madrid in October. Do the museum passes allow you to skip the line?Or should I expect long lines ? (October 11-14). Gracias.
Queues are only likely at the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen museums. If you have a card, it's as if you already had a ticket and should be able to go in quickly. But it museum has its own rules.
Hello! Do you happen to know anything about the Paseo Del Arte card not being available online? I tried using your link to purchase my pass today but the website won’t let me push the “continue” button after I input how many tickets I want. Just curious… Thank you so much for all the useful information you put out! It’s been very helpful, I have an upcoming trip to Spain in February 😊
Hi Brenda, perhaps you should try a different computer/network. We've just simulated the purchase of the pass to the stage where you have to fill your personal details. All the best.

Hello your content about Mardid is very useful, however i would like to buy eight museums in Madrid: visit all the State Museums located in Madrid for 15 days. €16 but i'm not sure how to buy on the website. Is there any button to select this option(eight Museum) ? or i need to select museum one by one. Thank you in advance for your advice.
