The Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria has written to tribal chiefs saying: "We cannot continue to blame the white men, as Africans, particularly the traditional rulers, are not blameless." They were referring to the fact that Nigerian chieftains sold their slaves to Arab and European slavers, and then actively captured black Africans in order to sell them as slaves. So too the Barbary Coast pirates who enslaved at least a million white Europeans, men and women taken and sold as slaves to Black Africans and Arabs.
Slavery is not, and has never ONLY been about Black slaves. There were White slaves too; I know, an inconvenient truth, not many Blacks want to admit to.
