As an American who has lived in China for 17 years, I can tell you he's 100 % correct that it's Nike's or whoever outsourcing factories who are making the knockoffs now. They differently make the originals during the day and the unauthorized ones at night when nike can't do a visit. haha I can tell you where those factories are. To be honest if I could bring them, here I'd be selling them too haha. But they aren't as cheap as you think but you can find some limited ones that would be a fortune in the States.

There’s a website out there, can’t remember the name but they basically sell Jordan’s, Kobe’s and other Nikes and advertise them as “unofficial” but have the patents, blueprints, and machines from retail factories to make completely identical copies, even down to the zoom tech; for a half the price. At this point, buying replicas is more of a moral decision. I feel like if you’ve been in the game for 15+ years I completely understand not going against the code. If you’re Gen Z or a casual I can also understand not caring and just wanting to have the hottest show out without breaking the bank
