I don't know if Thew Addams is giddy or seething about this
Damn it, someone beat me to it.
explain i dont get it
Thew Addams, a famous Transformers CZcamsr, absolutely adores Skywarp. It's his favorite of the Seekers and probably his favorite Transformers character ever.
Ask him
@@mecha53107 he even has a dedicated Skywarp shrine!
Only Starscream has Null Rays. Skywarp has machine guns and Thundercracker has Incendiary guns.
But of course they still all look the same.
This. I am shocked that suppose TF expert that is TJ doesn't know that.
Isn't it racist to say all deception seeker weapons all look alike? đ€Ș
His colors are deliciously Decepticon but they keep removing the jet black!
He is my favorite Seeker of the trio and I LOVED Frank Welker's voice for him. That being said, the Classics mold was sold in a Seeker trio set for Henkei in cartoon accurate colors. But to go back to the odd man out, the Earthrise mold had the SCREAMING face! Why? Ugh. Fortunately I got a spare Seeker head from a friend and swapped it out.
As someone who's favorite character is Skywarp, my life is pain
Im surprised you didnt even mention the insanity of Siege Skywarp, because hes INCREDIBLY RARE
I have one
â@@demoniccharcoaland
THATS NOT GEN Z THATS GEN ALPHA!
All those terms were created by gen z, and were used a lot by them.
That was gen alpha, not gen Z, I would never say any of those âwordsâ
Late gen z uses those words, as people born in 2010 are unfortunately, gen z. I think 2010 kids shouldnât be gen z.
This comment makes me feel insanely old.
Sigma skibidi edging rizzmaxxing
â@@Cretaceous158Every generation thinks that they are better than the last and believe that the next is horrible. Tell me, did you ever follow any stupid trends as a kid? Gen alpha are just kids and late gen z are teenagers. Don't expect perfection from children and be suprised when they make mistakes.
@@blasterstopmotion Gen z is a very wide range with many cultural differences, as gen z started in 1995. 2010 fells like a better place for a new generation to start than 2012. Also the people who use most of those words unironically are probably too young to use CZcams in the first place, as CZcams is a 13+ website.
Thereâs always a part of me that thinks Hasbro believes Skywarpâs best quality compared to Starscream and Thundercracker is his design, so they change his figures up to keep it that way.
Skywarp when compared to Skywarp
@@viridiannucleonI got my jets confused đ
I'm surprised the Cybertron Skywarp repaint of Thundercracker wasn't brought up
Reading that shout out must of hurt
Oh god I had to pause the shout out I'm gonna take psychic damage.
You forgot about his Bot Shots and Earthrise figures being given different facial expressions.
Is it weird that out of the 3 main seekers Skywarp is the only one that got gender flipped? I mean, Acid Storm and Nova Storm were just background seekers with slight name recognition so you could easily change them without bothering too many fans but it's weird that one of the trinity got made into a girl. Did they want to add a "token female" to the original squad? Either way I want a female seeker mold for them and Slipstream! Windblade remolds don't really work because she isn't a seeker jet.
So the writers for Cyberverse wanted to flip Thundercracker as well but were told no, not sure why he's more sacred than Skywarp.
@@TJOmega maybe they didn't want it to look like Starscream was making himself a jet harem?
This comment is off topic but to say Legacy Iguanus shelfwarmed everywhere is VERY true to me. I donât think I EVER saw a single other core class figure at Walmart that wasnât this guy.
Still, itâs very weird that Hasbro loves making Skywarp always off compared to his fellow Seekers.
10:43 wait, so Skywarpâs the man behind the slaughter? đđ
14:26 Actually this legion Starscream *doesnât* come with null rays, the stock photos had them but were removed last minute. Guess the weird thing about this Skywarp for me was the regional exclusivity and had to import him to complete the trio.
Bonus: Bot Shot Thundercracker is a redeco of Starscream. Skywarp is yelling and has extra detail on his chest.
They need to flesh out the characters of Skywarp and Thundercracker more in animation, I think theyâre still viewed how they were in G1. I had the Armada Skywarp as a kid it was an awesome looking version I liked the fin on his head
I'm honestly more upset about how often they seem to consider Skywarp a "redshirt" and off him the first chance they get. I know most of the time he doesn't have much in the way of character but neither do most of the other seekers. Let one of coneheads or one of the "Blank"storms be the sacrifice for once.
20:32 - 20:45 It's like Rumble once said:
"Can't you do anything right, Skywarp?"
One of the big reasons for the disparity is still just the sheer fact that while Starscream and Thundercracker's figures color schemes were from the Diaclone, Skywarp is the original recolor of the seekers. That ends up making his color scheme inconsistent between versions.
Really feels weird that the well known fact about Skywarp wasn't mentioned anywhere in a video about why Skywarp is inconsistent
As a huge wfc game fan I want to add that heâs the odd one out in that game too, his tailfins are oriented differently
Skywarp has my favorite color scheme out of all the seekers, so it's really sad he never gets attention. And we all know how his Siege figure was incredibly hard to get.
I haven't ever subscribed to to your Patreon, but I really appreciate what you said at the start about people taking care of themselves first. A lot of content creators say it, but with you, it's obviously super genuine. Respect, dude.
What's always driven me bananas is his miscoloured shoulders. He's the only one of the trio with his accent colour on his shoulders, but Skywarp toys with purple shoulders are exceedingly rare.
The oddity I've wondered. G1 Starscream is white, with red and blue. G! Thundercracker is blue, with white and red (and black). The Third seeker should have been Red, with blue and white (and maybe black). Almost Redwing.
And as much as I'm a lover of G1, I've come to really like the more recent trend of the cannons (Starscream's Null Rays, Thundercracker's Flamethrowers) mounted on the forearms.
Skywarp's color scheme was the only one created specifically for Transformers. I have to suspect they just wanted a color scheme that was as clearly "villainous" as possible.
Cyberverse Skywarp looks like something from a Galaga game when in alt-mode.
Markiplier: "Purple Guy!!!!!"
i think the alternity one was all purple because the actual Orochi car iirc primarily was released in white and purple
17:12 that design reminds me of the Fansprodject Mindwipe from a long time ago
You know what would be cool? A Seeker model kit-type thing where it has each part in multiple colors, so you can just build your own correct Skywarp or make your own custom cursed multicolor Seeker.
And then there's Earthspark Skywarp, who's toy is blue for whatever reason.
as someone who has siege and earthrise skywarp, I find this video quite informal and amusing.
The Amazon-exclusive skyrocketed price is infuriating.
I know there was already the actual Armada Thrust but Iâd love to see the Armada Skywarp design in the G1 Thrust colors
Earthrise Skywarp is my definitive Skywarp
You didn't touch on how in the DOTM toyline, Starscream and Thundercracker came out... but then Skywarp was never released state-side. Just a limited Japanese release that was a sick-looking Starscream repaint. Thundercracker was the odd one out in the sense he was the only one with that chainsaw mechtech weapon where the others had the blade staff thingy.
Itâs not just Skywarp, though. Thundercracker was made GI Joe-core for Machine Wars, was reduced to Starscreamâs Powerlinx colors doppleganger in the Armada US dub, and was made the more âtraditionalâ Seeker compared to Starscream in Cybertron. Ramjet had his name attached to a few Mini-Cons and was Unicronâs most gaudily colored herald ever, and Thrust had to pull triple duty as his Armada self, a Dirge homage, and a G1 Thrust homage in addition to having a bunch of Mini-Cons named after him.
Dirge has been strangely consistent, though. Sure, heâs had oddball releases like his ROTF figure (which was part of an oddball trio of Bayverse Coneheads that also included non-Conehead Ramjet and Breakaway repaint Thrust), but no matter what, Dirge always seems to be Dirge.
17:14 she looks like her shattered class version
The one that really bugged me was the DOTM Skywarp. They realased Thundercracker but Skywarp was only in Japan
I know it wasnât meant to be super funny, but the sudden âWhy is his chest purpleâ actually got me đ
I still surprised why we havenât gotten a SSâ86 Skywarp and Thundercracker yet, hopefully next yearđ€đŒ
Exclusives and distribution issues on Skywarp figures are my biggest issue. The Target exclusive Classics one and the Siege one were particularly annoying to find and still insanely expensive on the aftermarket.
Also Earthrise Skywarp is the only one of the three seekers with a screaming face for some reason.
Nice vid, but I almost skipped it cuz skywarp is my homie, mainly BECAUSE his toys are the seeker that's different. But well done, very well thought out.
Earthrise Skywarp with the yelling face vs. Starscream and Thundercracker with neutral expressions. I guess he, Dirge, and Hauler saw something objectionable.
Ironically in RID15, the warrior class Starscream was only ever redecoed into Skywarp and there was never a Thundercraker.
Well, at least Takara did have the MP-11SW Masterpiece Skywarp and the United Seeker Aces set. It wasn't Hasbro, though, and you'd have to have paid import prices at the time (as I did). Secondary prices these days aren't too terrible (especially for MP-11SW), at least compared to the prices being asked for the Siege and Earthrise Skywarp figures.
13:55 - 14:19 This is one of the first Transformers figures I ever purchased back around 2012/2013.
Skywarp is obviously nothing but an afterthought nowadays
Purple is my favorite color so I have no.issues with skywarp who was my favorite seeker out of the orginal 3 getting more purple on him
Black and purple the best color combo, nice video btw
16:47 purple and green popsicle as I said in my Universe Skywarp video. Absurd.
The RID Skywarp deluxe/legends class figure that I have is actually pretty good. That is the only Skywarp figure that I even own. I need more!
I'm surprised you didn't mention ER Skywarp coming with the permascream or Siege Skywarp being charcoaly instead of black and having 3 Battle Masters at the expense of being unobtainable :(
With how much this happens to poor Skywarp I can't help but think that the Cybertron mold is going to get repainted as just about every single recolor you can think of, including even Thundercracker, and then they'll pull a curve ball and make Cybertron Skywarp the Cybertron Thundercracker mold.
Even as someone that only has a passing interest in the seekers as I await that perfect, easily-accessible mold that fits the characters and doesn't suck (Siege was great but hard to get and incomplete, and Earthrise sucks and is hard to get, so both of those fail), even I can't help but acknowledge Skywarp gets the short end of the stick near-consistently.
Beats, but he has the dostinction of being the only seeker of which I have 2 toys. The rotf voyager and legacy core class.
your forgot ER having a screaming face and siege siege an amazon exclusive with target masters
Anyone else hear a phone in the background during the SS Skywarp segment?
He is one of my favorite cons
is there a 3rd party figure i can google where they at least arguably did sky warp fair justice. really great video thanks
Skywarp is da goat!
Personally I don't mind Skywarp being the odd one out. Skywarp has always been my favorite of the seekers and him being unique is part of the reason I like him so much more than the other two. That and because I like his color scheme so whenever they don't make him black that I do have a problem with.
G1 Skywarp had the teleporting power in the cartoon which instantly made him stand out from the other two who were just kind of the same.
There's a repaint of Beast Machines Skywarp who's toy bio kind of alludes to an animation error from Transformers the Movie where Unicron introduces Cyclonus and his Armada but the second Cyclonus made from Skywarp disappears in the next shot and is never seen or mentioned again. Apparently he was teleported into the Universe toyline in 2003.
BTW, I think I know why Masterpiece Skywarp never saw a second release. My local Wal Mart was LITTERED with those things all over the store. I actually bought mine for $10 when I believe it originally retailed at $50. I got a HUGE massive discount partly because I used a gift card but also because the figure had been marked down from it's original price three times and the store still had like 7 isles worth of over stock on the Masterpiece Skywarps that weren't selling. I still saw them at my Wal Mart shelf warming for over a year after their original release. I don't think anyone wanted them after how badly they shelf warmed the first time. Though I don't think that's the figure's fault, distribution itself was really weird cause I never saw Starscream or Thundercracker released in my area. It was only Skywarp and for some reason they thought it was good idea to filled multiple isles with ONE seeker.
I think it's ok to refer to Cyberverse Skywarp as male when you're talking about the toy because the toy is male. And also making Skywarp female randomly in the cartoon... why? We already have a female Seeker, Slipstream. And I don't mind if they want to make some of the other Seekers female like Acid Storm and Nova Storm cause they aren't really established characters in fiction already. And Acid Storm the cartoon accidentally made non-binary because some times they appear male, other times they appear female. I would have liked it better if this was intentional and not a retcon to explain an animation error but I'll take it.
Earthspark Skywarp is again Female and there's no Thundercracker... it's Nova Storm in a different color scheme than she had in Cyberverse.
Armada, I have that figure, one of the first Skywarps I ever owned. And Thundercracker kind of weird because in the cartoon, that's just Starscream in his powerlinx colors.
Cybertron Skywarp was repainted from both a Starscream mold and a Thundercracker mold but those are entirely different designs. Thundercracker was never done from the Cybertron Starscream and Starscream was never done in the Cybertron Thundercracker mold. But Skywarp has both versions. And the Thundercracker version forgot that he's suppose to be black.
We did get a better version of FoC Skywarp in Thrilling 30, I have that figure.
RID2015 Starscream was done as Skywarp and oddly a rare instance where it was never done as Thundercracker. It's also a rare instance where I don't like the design as the other seekers. That mold was an intentional homage to the King Starscream design from the 86 Movie with the wings forming his cape and the giant shoulder pads. I love that design as Starscream but whenever I see King Starscream parts on other seekers it just doesn't fit the character. They don't have that drive for leadership like Starscream does so seeing a King Skywarp just doesn't look right.
There's also Cloud Hellwarp who's suppose to be a homage to BWII Hellscream except it's an entirely different shark mold and an entirely different character in a totally different color scheme. It seems weird to have 2 seekers as sharks decades apart from each other... and given the naming convention does that mean we're going to get a Hellcracker at some point?
Not a day too soon after Alex Polinsky reprised The Headmaster updating lingo for modern audeiences. Based.
They do it to annoy Thew!
Thundercracker has had it just as bad over the years. From the top of my head, there was no TFP Thundercracker, no RID 2015 Thundercracker, TFA Thundercracker didn't release and Transformers cybertron Thundercracker had a completely different design than the other seakers
18:38/18:39 Does anyone hear a faint sound of a phone ringing?
Please TJ make another video about the TF's foreign names!
PRESSED for content
15:15 how did it take me this long to realize I got the GDO one in this guyâs packaging? Because I didnât know what GDO was at the time. Still pretty cool to have it, but how I feel ripped off. -_-
Suprised you mostly talked about the repaints and not the retail side of skywarp
Seeker Genders I think the Og 6 (Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Ramjet, Thrust, Dirge) should always be male but you can mess with the others cause in my AU I have Nova Storm and Acid Storm has females
dont forget earthspark skywarp . . .

Is that what we Gen Zs sound like??

Some of the words, acronyms, and abbreviations that Gen Z has come up with so far confuse me.
Same here.
I'm a part of the generation and they confuse me too
@@bumbleprime7713 youâd think that the people part of Gen Z would be able to understand some of these words/acronyms/abbreviations, but I guess some understand them better than others. Maybe itâs just the overusage of only using the first letter of each word that confuses me.
@@haydenreviewscustomcombos Just using the first letter I can understand, because it makes typing way faster
@@bumbleprime7713 yeah. Sometimes when you overdo it, it starts to not make sense anymore.
Skywarp is only a girl in Cyberverse and Earthspark, this should stop because their already is a black and purple female seeker, but you didn't do anything wrong
I like female skywarp
0:23 Why do people blame me when I hate what 90% of my fellow people in gen Z do?
Rizzful Ohio Sigma with a Gyatt, thank you for your service đ«Ą
The reason Skywarp ends in that situation is that he's the "third guy"
For starters, he's famous enough that a figure of him will likely sell
However, not only he shares an entire mold with two characters making him a harder sell on lines not aimed at collectors; but he's also primarily black colored, so marketing likely weights his presence against Nemesis/Scourge as "the black repaint" and ends up giving him alternative color schemes instead
Honestly I've always considered Thundercracker "the third guy". Sure IDW made Thundercracker cool, but before then I would say they were the least interesting member of the Trio. Skywarp's teleportation powers and loyalty at least made him number 2 for me.
