Pros
Great to drive and comfortable to travel in
The ST and RS hot hatches are lots of fun
Affordable running costs for most models
Cons
Troublesome early Powershift gearboxes
Be wary of cars that have not had their timing belt changed on time
Small boot
The CarGurus verdict
With any car that sells in extremely high volumes, it is almost inevitable that some customers will experience problems somewhere down the line. So it has transpired to some extent with the third-generation Ford Focus, particularly in regard to earlier iterations of the Powershift gearbox.
However, allowing for this and the coolant hose issue on earlier 1.0-litre models, a properly maintained Focus should be a perfectly dependable car, not to mention one that’s well-liked by owners. Combined with there being a plentiful supply across a wide range of budgets, it’s easy to see why it is such a dominant force in the used car market.

Im still enjoying my 2015 focus Titanium despite it hitting 92000 miles the only issue it's had was a clutch slave cylinder which the dealer fixed under warranty besides that it still drives like a new car
do you still like your ford car
@@jayangli yes I would like some more power but happy with the good fuel economy and free road tax, can't have it both ways I quess

got myself a 2015 mk3.5 Focus Titanium 1.0 Ecoboost a few months ago with 20+k on the mileage. the only issue i have is going from 1st to 2nd can be a bit jumpy, had the clutch looked at and was deemed fine
Just bought my 67 plate titanium x last week best car ever.
*The Question is* ,,,
would you ever prefer a used ford focus over a used Volvo V40?
if they both have almost same market Price and same Engine BHP (125ps focus vs 122ps V40)?
yes
I got 1.5 tdci titanium x 65 plate . Nice car but some times engine bit loud why. Then it's quite good on fuel. I think the car is best on motorway drive . Them it's good around town. I rather st or rs mind. But my mkq 04 tdvi was better engine. Them I like 1.5 engine better. So I like them both
If you need to rely on rear or front parking sensors you need to take driving lessons & a re-test ffs
A poor men's Aston Martin 🤣
Cambridge car prize cheap rate
😂🎉
