Customizing a WARHAMMER Chaos Marine for the first time!

In this video, I'm customizing a McFarlane Toys Warhammer 40k Chaos Space Marine artist proof action figure. This is the first time I've painted a full-size action figure. I'm using the Speedpaint starter set from The Army Painter and regular acrylic paint from the craft store. I hope you enjoy!

I just got into painting miniatures I got this guy by mistake not knowing what I was ordering.

Not good, I got impatient when I couldn't get good paint in my area so I bought craft paint at Walmart.

Thanks! It was kind of sketchy at first, but it all came together in the end like a Bob Ross painting.

looks awesome , i was gifed this figure by my wife on my birthday and i havent been sure how to paint such a large figure XD, thanks for this video im going to try my luck at a black legion style of this chaos marine :D
Nice! The hardest part is putting the first streak of paint on the figure.
Came for the water bottle review, stayed for the heresy. Well done on this paint job. I've always found larger models like this much more difficult since there's so much more open space to make mistakes in and they are harder to cover up.

Just got this figure waiting on the paints, this vid is super helpful in a prep. I've painted WH figs before, but this is gonna be my first action figure. Good job on making that head look cool, it's sculpt was my only major grip about the figure. (It's not a bad sculpt I just would have prefered a Helm with horns for a Chaos Marine.
Yeah the horns would have been cool. McFarlane did make one, but it's pre-painted. I hope yours comes out looking awesome!
so i never fully painted a grey figure in the line but i did get one of the first few Marine figs from 40k and just added detail to it.
Love your video i came for ideas for the ones i bought, did you use any varnish to prevent the paint from chipping?
No, I didn't use any varnish. After I finished, I just put him on the shelf.
What would you do to avoid paint chipping ? Especially when you get him wield his weapons
Just got two of these did a regualr soldier blue and white came out great. The more you do the better you get

How do the weapons work? I can’t get them to fit in its hand.
The hands can be stiff. Run them under hot water to soften them up and spread them apart.
