Respect for the Morse skills. Nice set up.
Thanks for watching ! I am a year in with LICW. Vast improvement from my 12-14 WPM. I am strictly morse code only except for FM for SOTA.
SOTA Activations, i had never heard of that before. Looking into it now very interesting
Summits on the Air is an amazing organization. Hike summits and make world wide contacts on SSB and CW. Great activity for outdoor enthusiasts!
Good choice on the pack. I have a FILBE assault pack as well, and it's the most comfortable surplus pack I own. I don't carry it often enough anymore, but maybe I should take it out more
Evan you are correct , this is the best multi day pack I have ever owned and is perfect for summits on the air.
That's a nice loadout
👍🏻 thanks for watching ! im currently rearranging gear in the pack to decrease the weight . I’ll be updating in a few weeks. I’m hiking SOTA tomorrow .
Tank you for the video
Thanks for Watching !
Using arrows to support your mast... what a great idea! Do you need to guy it?
Using two arrows there is no need to guy the mast. I drive the arrows in at a slight angle to help straighten the mast when fully deployed.
What’s the name of the powerbank with the solar panels? Thanks.
The powerbank is a MyCharge (mycharge.com) 29.6Wh
Binder clips. Not alligator clips.
Thanks for watching !
Not stereo?
Thanks for brining this to my attention. The Go Pro with external mic is giving me a headache. Audio should be sorted out. Fingers Crossed .
That pill carrier is worthless, just tuck the Imodium in your pocket. If ibuprofen solves the problem you're a wuss and it wasn't a problem to begin with. Most of the medications you have there are bordering on placebo - they're the kind of medication that if you have it or don't have it you can still get by. I'd probably add a few more useful medications, but to a much lighter and slimline container (or more sensibly small ziplock bags in a bigger ziplock (rip the box front off and keep it if operating anywhere you might pass security checkpoints, you don't want to get stopped with morphine at an airport without a displayable script).
Meds make sense to me. Pill pouches are ok. I use a weekly pill organizer and fill each day with a different med.
