Scorpion Bulldozer - The Most Indestructible Weapon Ever Created?

- čas přidán 25. 06. 2024
- Croatian company DOK-ING has taken the engineering world by surprise by introducing one of the most sophisticated robotic and autonomous systems developed to date.
And with good reason, the MV-4 Scorpion is a multi-purpose light-tracked, remote-controlled system that can be used for many purposes tailored for military and civilian use.
Initially made for clearing unexploded ordnance and anti-personnel mines, the Scorpion is fully armored from all sides to protect it from explosives and get the job done using a steel flail attachment tool.
Nevertheless, the multi-purpose vehicle can also be fitted with a grip to lift and move objects, such as cars and obstacles; a dozer blade to clear roadblocks; a tiller, segmented roller, a forklift, and even an EOD arm for digging and cutting.
If that was not enough, the Scorpion can be easily transported by helicopters, cargo aircraft, containers, and car hauler trailers.
For these and many other reasons it has reached almost every corner of the world. - Věda a technologie
We need something like this for wildland fire control!
underrated comment
Was thinking the same. Have two. One for brush and tree clearing, another to plow up that ground where possible. Those would be some good fire lines.
Long ago poland made one based on old Soviet armour
Didn’t sell well
yer, more speed and it would be perfect for creating fire breaks. Swap out some of the heavy armour for heat resistant material / protection.
I absolutely agree ! Wildfires are a bigger threat than people realise. 😢😣🤦♂️❤️❤️❤️❤️✌️🖖
I've know Dok-Ing since the late 90's and have used their equipment in various countries. The owner is a chap named Slavko, not only does he make some of the best kit,. he's also visionary that has always been a few steps ahead of everyone else.
@@mikeypiros6647 I've been involved with humanitarian landmine clearance since 98; my 1st tasks were in Croatia & Slavko was starting to build his systems based on user input (mine being one of them),.. so you can believe whatever you want.
Sounds like a Robot
Between the scorpion, rimac, and the vhs 2, i am becoming a huge fan of Croation engineering.
It makes sense given that you're from Croatia.
Didn’t Croatian engineers also come up with those giant water jet vehicles used to put out oil well fires during the Gulf War? Or was that one of the things you mentioned there?
This is the greatest application of robotics I've ever seen! Yet I've never heard of it before. Their sales department needs to get busy!
Theres indestructible and then theres early 2000s nokia cell phone indestructible. This thing has a lot to live up to.
I moved into a house dug the garden and found one that kids had buried, cleaned it up charged the battery and even though the battery just drained within seconds it still turned on briefly.
Reminds me of that scene from the first “Transformers” live-action movie where John Turturro’s character, shortly before literally bringing a Nokia phone to life, says, “Nokias are real nasty. You gotta respect the Japanese. They know the ways… of the samurai.” And then another character has to point out that they’re actually Finnish…
They should put some minor texture on that segmented roller so personnel on foot can see where an area has already been "rolled", and they know where it's safe to walk.
This is one of the coolest things I've seen on this channel, and it couldn't have come at a better time.
I am literally a World Of Tanks ACE and I can tell you don't know what you're talking about LOL
Then you would have to have a person there and then there would be no point to the gps part of the process. I just open my mouth and words fall out leaving a load of nonsense in my wake.
@@davidkershaw5379 The texture would be for personnel who are walking the trail to know that it's safe because the roller has passed over it, not for the machine to keep track of its work lol.
@@theterminaldave not as good of an idea as you think, it’ll be painfully obvious where the tracked vehicle pushing an implement has been.
@@zackzittel7683 I prefer this counter-argument over any of the others. As the rest didn't understand my argument.
Though track marks could have been left by any vehicle, so people would still restrict themselves to the track lines to walk.
A specific texture that indicates a de-mining vehicle has passed over the entire width of the area would still provide troops the info they need to know that the entire path is safe to walk.
Thank you for this presentation. Enjoyed the detail.
That is one seriously clever bit of kit
That's one badass little rc
That is one impressive bit of kit! Hats off to the DOK-ING company. This kind of equipment is what really makes a difference to the day to day lives of people caught up in warzones. Landmines are the scourge of the planet and I've got some much praise for companies like this who are just trying to make the world a safer place.
I'd love to see a civilian version for construction and land clearing.
Likely only a matter of time before we do.
They have a company like that.... it's called bobcat (new Holland, Kubota, ditch witch.etc)
Well it breaks stuff not makes stuff that might be why, if it was on a building site it would be called a bulldozer or a crane.
Already in been use for mineral mining in various countries, more efficient, safer and less expensive then manual methods.
Don't need nearly as much armor when mines aren't involved.
Great machine!
Glad to hear that Ukraine is getting some of these! They could do with about 40 or 50 of them but at least it's a start!
Absolutely amazing video & information, as usual. Thank you❤
Dear Dark,
It looks like something from the classic sci-fi show, Thunderbirds.
Frank.
Looks like the firefly from the live action remake. Alternatively it looks a bit like the thunderizer from the old puppet thunderbirds
A timely piece, thank you.
The most badass lawnmower. I want one.
an automated version with multiple mission programs ..want to see an automated swarm
US Marines: Hold my beer, they said its indestructible.....
Excellent, long past time for somebody to build such a thing.
7:40 for digging, cutting and deep interrogation. Oh my.
Jaw-dropping cool machine!
They learned their lessons from Killdozer.
Dok-ing needs to send some of these machines to Laos and Cambodia.
Yes. The countries have plenty of unexploded ordnance to get rid of
French Police: "We'll take 300 with the water-cannon accessories"
Great video
I was just thinking the other day that they're gonna need a mine flail system to help with clearing those minefields in Ukraine.
It’s going to take years if not decades to clear Ukraine but the infrared cameras will make it easier
Ukraine could use a few hundred of these to advance faster then they are in the Russian minefields.
@@66block84
Bingo.
Ukraine could take all their russian POWs line them up shoulder to shoulder and make them march across the minefields. The russians planted them mines, so the fucking russians can render them inoperable!
Actually...One of many cost/time saving measures, is to fight fire, with fire (power). Saturate an entire field with sub-munitions (quick/easy). Then do it again. After...send in these types of machines en-mass. Sub-M must have "time outs" or "nullifiers" (12-24 hr) or sooner :) At that point you are just a ball-boy w/machinery. Then...You re-purpose excess unit's or sell to other nations. Win Win!
Excellent tool .
The best story of today. Good on yar
Boy, Canada sure has hell used a bunch of the forest fire fighting versions this year ! Many countries in Europe too !
That mine clearing flail really should be wider. That would give less chance of live mines getting left at each end for the tracks to hit.
An IR drone would be handy for spotting mines heated by sunlight.
I'd use this to dig snow out of my driveway if I lived in a snowy place, which I don't lol.
I live in the frozen north. Please give.
@joeis18 They should subsidize these so every home has one lol. Imagine doing all that work while still in your pajamas and eating breakfast, all warm and cozy lol
Thats how Jeremy Renner died.
@scottgalbraith7461 by eating breakfast!??
Dam that's an awful way to go!
Was it link or patty snausages?😂
@@hughgrection3052 lol. Nice.
That’s one sweet spicy lawnmower
Awesome
OK, I'm sold! Takes a bit to sell me on something but this gadget is the shiznit. OF COURSE I would modify it, no fun having toys you can't play with :)
I need one of these...
wow, THAT"S a remote control truck I'd like! Perfect for creating a car parking space on a busy Saturday afternoon... 😏
This is the most 40k stuff I have ever seen in RL. Company should be called ORC-ing.
Thank god for a better option than the old M9 ACE!!! Anybody forced to use one of those old "p.o.s." shouldn't expect to live long, I hated that thing
Cry me a river. I drove a Gama Goat and pull started the Mule on a cold morning.
Reminds me of an 80's metal band...
How first it do with 152mm artillery bombardment? Needs many smoke discharges !
Hold on.. you said they only trained 11 personnel from the army? I was trained and used it in 07. I still have the certificate. That can't be right. I never seen another one and nobody has ever heard of it.
make it a little wider, add a shield to protect from ATGMs by having them go off several feet away from the actual armor, and you have yourself the lead vehicles for armored assaults through minefields.
Sadly, it is usually not the ATGM's that kill them but artillery rounds. You'd need a few of those sweet US Guardian C-RAM units to keep the air clear of arty/mortars. I wonder if their flail units can be mounted on recovered tank chassis, and made wider... be easier to keep those alive, and if the tank is killed, you dismount the flail unit, mount on another tank, and keep at it.
Thats what they need, but one that can move at speed. You run the flail in reverse gear, so when it needs to retreat from Arty, it engages forward gear, and drives off the field toward friendlies (in what appears to be reverse)
Also... run them at night. WHY? Because Russian night-fighting gear is CRAP, and the flail would have more time to work before they can get targeted. Also make it alter its course some after any explosion, within certain parameters, so its "path" cannot be predicted.
I expected to see Virgil Tracey controlling this from Thunderbird 2 😂😂😂😂
I am feeling smaller vehicles of low cost to bring an EOD disruptor to a mine and zap it (explosive pushed water jet).
Needs a post pounding attachment.
The flail chains are unlikely to be hardened as that would make it brittle.
Impressive
400 kg mg of 4000 kg cuz when the Scorpion picked up that wreck truck that was way more than 400 kg
Raaad!
I want one.
Works great for Just Stop Oil roadblocks/protest too.
isn't this just the crazy logger machine from FernGully?
I wanna pet it
Now we know where all the Battlebot participants went to work after the show concluded.
If only Marty had had one.
Tell me they're donating some of these to the people in Laos please!
Ajmo hrvati 🎉❤
Wow Ukraine really needs some of these to be honest 👍✌️😁
It can be used to clear human habitat after they take over
Pretty sure this is a unit from Command and Conquer. Probably Nod.
Well I guess the Swiss are not all bad, still I wished they had not decommissioned the AA Missiles .
Its like from two sherman types one that can destroy a landmine and the other one can detroy boulder
A comando with a bag of themite could take it out
Can you build a scorpion that's EV with light Armor ??????? .
I would assume so .
Goodbye Amazon Forrest
I could have a ball with thing here on the farm. Clear out my neighbors quickly.

The Ipcress file comes to mind ''AI'' voices are Nerve Racking, a pity.
Russia build them by licence. They call it Ural...and of course it is crap.made in simillar fashion like their helmets and tanks.
What we are perticulary proud of is the fact that where ever Dok-ing cleared mines no mines were left. 0 casualties!!!!
Oh btw...Dok-ing also produces electric city car called Loox.price 50k€. It is as big as Smart but for 3ppl
to make this rc tank with a plough and excavator arm you went to croatia?
John Deer was probably too busy bricking farmer's combines who try to work on them without authorization to worry about developing cool stuff.
Developed and built by a Croatian company. Croatia has 30,000 to 50,000 land mines dating back 30+ years that need clearing. Not sure who went to Croatia, seems like they were already there.
Now make it faster, and put guns on it. Lots of guns.
Killdozer 2 Robo Boogaloo
Make on hell of a lawnmower, a Boy's?
woodchipper stump shredder weeding also
How long before it gets its field test in Ukraine see if it live up to their expectations cant think of a better place to work out any problems it could have
Don King 🥊? 💯 🤣🤣🤣
Ukraine should have an army of those things...
Lots of useful roles, but......Anti-Tank mines...I don’t think so.
ITS A ROBOT :3
Ukraine needs these
A much needed piece of equipment for Ukraine.
🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Nah reverse the rotation, weld magnets on a thick cylinder of steel, point mine plow at enemy, laugh
It has tracks, not indestructible
I hope, that we'll see a lot of them in Ukraine.
This is a tool or equipment, not a weapon. Now, send 1000 of these to Ukraine in the next year, and now we're talking. These types of UGV are PERFECT for AI, *man OUT* of the loop ops.
fhy
Damn ok. They need these in Ukraine 👁️
lmfao the idea that this thing wouldn't immediately be obliterated by 1 100mm+ shell hit or even a mortar hit is quite hilarious and only something that can exist in a capitalist marketing campaign

Docking company 😂 that’s a gay bar.
Needs testing in combat - and Ukraine could use it - take the tax write offs and donate to Ukraine
Send them to the Ukrainians
….Donations should be started on fundraising a few of these for Ukraine ….they could save many Ukrainians lives and bring Ukrainian Victory closer..Slava Ukraine …💙💛💙
And it gets taken out by a single drone with dropped rpg round.
Drones don’t use RPGs, and this looks like it could take a GBU to the dome.
This is not meant for combat, its for mine clearing. Why would anyone send this in combat area?
@@anticom6099yes, they can and have been rigged with an rpg either whole thing or merely projectile. Be gone with your ignorance.
@@mostlyright5384 you can Jerry rig anything together, no drone is manufactured that way because it’s ridiculous
Better to lose just the machine to that and not an entire eod squad.
Wow, so one dimensional. I am sure the politicians make a great kick back on these products. Silly stuff.
Ukraine!
