Scorpion Bulldozer - The Most Indestructible Weapon Ever Created?

  • Croatian company DOK-ING has taken the engineering world by surprise by introducing one of the most sophisticated robotic and autonomous systems developed to date.
    And with good reason, the MV-4 Scorpion is a multi-purpose light-tracked, remote-controlled system that can be used for many purposes tailored for military and civilian use.
    Initially made for clearing unexploded ordnance and anti-personnel mines, the Scorpion is fully armored from all sides to protect it from explosives and get the job done using a steel flail attachment tool.
    Nevertheless, the multi-purpose vehicle can also be fitted with a grip to lift and move objects, such as cars and obstacles; a dozer blade to clear roadblocks; a tiller, segmented roller, a forklift, and even an EOD arm for digging and cutting.
    If that was not enough, the Scorpion can be easily transported by helicopters, cargo aircraft, containers, and car hauler trailers.
    For these and many other reasons it has reached almost every corner of the world.

    They should put some minor texture on that segmented roller so personnel on foot can see where an area has already been "rolled", and they know where it's safe to walk.

After...send in these types of machines en-mass. Sub-M must have "time outs" or "nullifiers" (12-24 hr) or sooner :) At that point you are just a ball-boy w/machinery. Then...You re-purpose excess unit's or sell to other nations. Win Win!

    • @WhiteWolf65
      @WhiteWolf65 Před 9 měsíci +2

      Sadly, it is usually not the ATGM's that kill them but artillery rounds. You'd need a few of those sweet US Guardian C-RAM units to keep the air clear of arty/mortars. I wonder if their flail units can be mounted on recovered tank chassis, and made wider... be easier to keep those alive, and if the tank is killed, you dismount the flail unit, mount on another tank, and keep at it.
      Thats what they need, but one that can move at speed. You run the flail in reverse gear, so when it needs to retreat from Arty, it engages forward gear, and drives off the field toward friendlies (in what appears to be reverse)
      Also... run them at night. WHY? Because Russian night-fighting gear is CRAP, and the flail would have more time to work before they can get targeted. Also make it alter its course some after any explosion, within certain parameters, so its "path" cannot be predicted.
