  • A short video describing how I used $7 worth of epoxy to make a zero clearance insert out of the throat plate that came with my table saw.
A note: Grizzly sells a zero clearance insert for this saw, but it is $40 and is rarely in stock. I’m cheap and impatient, so I made my own.

Like your hack. I was going to order 2, one for dado and one for reg blade. Cost more to ship than it did for the inserts, so I will try your hack.
    Thanks

You’ll have to let me know how the hack works on the dado insert, I’d be interested to know.

Thanks for the tip. I bought this saw missing the splitting but I borrowed one from a friend. Having trouble with attaching the blade gaurd. Wondering if you had this same issue. And yes splitter is an exact copy of the one coming

Thanks for the tip! Which tape did you use for no stick? Thank you!

Grizzly does sell a zero clearance insert for the G0771Z-bought one for mine.

Make Sure I Win - FT you’re right, and I alluded to that at the end of the video. It costs around $40 to get one to your door, though, and I’m cheap, so I went with a cheap man’s solution.

How will you make a beveled cut now?

Beveled cross cuts: take out insert and use a cross cut sled. If I need to make a beveled rip cut it’s usually a small 45deg chamfer so I use a router.
