That's actually the case, skykids are meant to be birds from the start! Moths are actually sparrows, and that's also why we have so many bird masks or capes :D The bottom of basic capes is supposed to be feathers!

When I was a moth I thought I looked like a owl, and I’ve always seen the base game capes as wing-like!
Makes sense because they can fly like a bird(or any winged creature) and chirp like a bird
