    Ah yes, another budding Necromancer. Welcome brother. Let the dead walk the earth once more! Let the absurd micromanaging of turns commence!

      Thank you! ☠️ Truly the most interesting school of magic in any setting or realm! Second attempt (sort of) for me in Faerun, had a death on Myrkul with Oathbreaker/Necromancer earlier this year. I might be damaged but I enjoy the micromanaging aspects of it, would be even better if we could equip em with gear!

    Very sad that lightning charges hurt the young zombies on their "1 damage per turn". Really wish harmful things like this get patched eventually.

      I agree, that is a pretty crappy thing. I didn't really reflect on it at the time besides that I thought they died fast.

    What a wonderful consequence.- you really have to simulate the usual zombie avalanche or else they will simply rot away within a few rounds. It makes you want to make the most of it - and it shows. Great fight. 👍🧟‍♂

      Thanks! I really wanted to just stomp through the Creche. Both the trader and the lightning charges making the zombies die twice faster sucked though :/

    cool to see the necromancy build really feel like a necromancer! its very satisfying to have you fallen foes become your servants >:)

      Yeah, wanted em to come and join the fun! But they had other plans apparently ;>. Having four undeads (zombies or skeletons) really make it feel better, if that makes sense

    That creche was annoying, I remember for this part being a druid is nice, you cast one spell, then you see all the giths dying trying to walk to you and failing. XD

      @@FriendlyLich You know it, used it in the alleyway so that the gith using the gustil would choke, and choke she did, alongside her kin, I was far away enough that if she and her kin wanted to get me, they had to get through the corridor of Spike Growth first, and then survive getting magic and arrows and the Returning Pike thrown at them. XD

    Im just not gonna question how killing an infected cat turns it into a humanoid undead.
    (Ngl it would have been pretty funny if Larian put in even more effort to make it so that the undead spawns as a zombie version of whatever it was then you could run around with a horde of undead animals 💀)

    I didn't know that Fear makes them drop a weapon. Can they pick those weapons and that is why you took them away? With team, Fear is a waste of action, but playing solo, it's a blessing, because fights last long and you have a standing chance.
    I'm planning to do evil, solo playthrough and honor mode feels interesting, because it's basically a different, game, but I'm not sure if I'm ready. I don't know the game mechanics that well (since this is not needed when you have party), so it would be easier to play solo on tactician mode, experiment, learn and then do honor mode. I would still pick some easy, powerful build. Nercomancer is too challenging for me at this stage, but it looks very stysfying - you can cherisch those long fights, watching your dead minions spreading and tearing enemies apart. Even if they are not good, they become plenty.
    Also, I discovered that you cannot reload in honor mode. But you can still go to the main menu and load the game again, right? It's just less convenient.
    In this fight, it necromancer finally shins and it's exactly what it was about - a horde or undead minions that multiply. I wonder, how well or bad it works later in the game thou. Minions don't scale so well with level. I wonder, where do you get bodies? When I tried to take a body into inventory, it weight a lot, couldn't stash it in the camp and being a speallcaster, you don't have strength to carry bodies with you.

      The two devils that join the fight on the nautiloid will pick up their weapons if disarmed. I don't know if these giths do but I thought it was better to be safe than sorry. It felt great to have the zombies just spread, just sad I didn't realize that electric charges would destroy them faster. If you go to the main menu the game will first save before you quit, same procedure if you hit exit game. Solo runs are very fun and rewarding, specially honor mode with the extra legendary actions on enemies. Buuut, it really stinks when you die deep into the game. I've died on Myrkul for example, that just plainly sucked and got me pretty demotivated. As you say a tactician run is a solid way to practice and try out different strategies and builds! Sure fights rarely (or never really) go exactly as planned but practice on how to pivot from a bad situation will save your run. Good luck!

    • @michadybczak4862
      @michadybczak4862 Před měsícem +1

      Ah, thaks for letting me know that games saves automatically on game exist. That changes A LOT. I was under the impression that one save means one save and nothing more, so when I don't like the outcome, I can just load that one save, and it's done. If the game saves automatically on exit, it's even more restrictive than I thought.
      In that case, staying on tactician solo is the best way to learn.

    • @FriendlyLich
      @FriendlyLich  Před měsícem +1

      I was a bit surprised by this also but I attributed it to the Creche not being hostile yet. Not verified but I believe that when everything turns hostile and you can't fast travel out then the trader will get the two additional giths.

    • @Joci445
      @Joci445 Před měsícem +3

      the gith that are usually around her are the ones you find outside the monastery with the cultists. since lich killed them in a previous video, it seems like she ends up alone!
