So I’ve been looking at what to get for a second bike to go with my ‘21 FXLRS, and I’ve looked at naked bikes, adv bikes, scramblers, and you name it. After watching this I’m reminded of how much I miss and loved my iron 883! I think it’s decided. A late model, 883, and mod the crap out of it!! I had so much fun modding out my sportster when I had it. A 1275 kit, and that chain conversion with those sprockets would just RIPPPPPPP!!! Thanks for posting!
No problem man. And yeah they’re so easy to work on and get parts for and beat on. You can change the style a million ways. I think they’re perfect second bikes!
I like the sportsters, there's 4 in my garage. We all ride in my house. Yours is cool. I think it needs a hammer 1275 kit. I installed the kit in my 03 883H. Definitely worth it if you plan to keep the bike. Wife rides an 02 1200C. Sons have a 89 & 94 883 with plans to do big bore kits. They're fairly cheap,easy maintenance and fun. I wound up selling it but I really miss it. Sportsters are super fun. If I got one before my softail I don’t think I would have ever “upgraded” honestly

Chain drive has nothing to do with wheelies. Chain drive is for handling lots of power, which you have none. Like the info you shared. Like the handlebar set up! Pegs are very cool. Keep doing what your doing, and I will keep watching.
Appreciate the comments. But chain drive is not for power only. That is one benefit of a chain potentially over the belt. But the others are increased power transfer, ease of gearing changes, and ease of change out / durability for breaks/tears.
