I sooooo agree about Agatha Christie. 😮👀😆 I can’t remember plots either on most of them. 🤔 I think I need This Is Happiness. 😅

I think many people dont like Dune because you get to be in everyone's heads... and that's the main reason i DO love it!
🤣 I was such a short stuff even then.
I have heard so many reasons that others don't like Dune and non of them make absolute sense to me. But that is okay - I'll stick with the ones who love it like I do!
Thank you so much for doing the tag! Yes, a lot of the current cookies are relatively new. Even in the ten (!!!) years that my daughter has been selling cookies, a number of varieties have come and gone. Last year, we had a flavor that was only around for one year (I didn't particularly like them, so I'm not too bothered by that!)
I think we only had 4 kinds during the 5 years I sold them, and 3 of the four were in the Prompts!
It was a fun Tag! I bet you were crazy busy if your daughter was selling cookies when you created the Tag!
Oh my gosh, that picture of you as a Girl Scout! 😊 I can’t believe I haven’t read Dandelion Wine, but I will! Many people don’t like Dune? I still have to read that as well, but I never heard that lot of people don’t like it 🤔
Believe it or not I was 10 or 11 in that photo!
I know it's hards to believe, but yes, I have so many people I follow who have thought it was either "just okay" or that it wasn't worth the page count.
I will agree there is one section I find superfluous but it is small and easy to skip - it really doesn't have any bearing on the book - and the rest is SO GOOD.
I think you should start with Martian Chronicles by Bradbury. It seems more like your kind of stories.
I loved hearing your answers for both tags! I hear you on Agatha Christie. I actually watched a lot of Poirot episodes in grad school, and I get my wires confused about what I've read/watched.
I read them back to back when I was younger and only a couple are vividly clear (Orient Express & Death on the Nile.) Even the ones I’ve reread since my teens/20’s I couldn’t tell you without researching first!

I haven't heard of any of your gems so thanks for putting those on my radar. Abigail sounds like one I would really like. 😊💙

Have you read any Szabo? Abigail was my first but I have Iza’s Ballad on my TBR shelf. I do think you might enjoy Niall Williams’ other books more than This is Happiness, but I hope you’ll give it a try too.💕

I have never gone on to read the rest of the Dune series because I have always thought of it as a stand alone and I'm good with it being that!
We both answered Agatha Christie on that question! 🤣 I’m the exact same. In my brain and out of my brain. But I love them!

Not long ago, I was telling the plots to someone and they were giving me the titles. I really like certain ones, but I always have to look them up prior to talking about them! 🤦♀

Your answers are so excellent! I have never heard of Dandelion Wine, but I am putting near the top of my TBR.
Where would you recommend starting with Spurgeon? We have some of his books, but I haven't read any yet.
I loved Joy in Christ’s Presence. I think I’m going to pick up Being God’s Friend next.
Dandelion Wine will make you wonder, get frustrated, smile, and be nostalgic. It’s interconnected vignettes, not a novel, so be aware if that 😊
Thanks for doing the tag! I can totally understand why you don't like Anna Karenina and Dr. Zhivago. Anna Karenina I've read a couple times and can see a lot of value in it, but Dr. Z just no. And totally agree on Charles Spurgeon!
I was fairly young and idealistic when I read both of them, but now I am so biased against them I am not sure a reread would do any good. 😅
Spurgeon is a gem.
I really enjoyed Dune, though I haven't felt the need to continue on with the series. I thought Anna Karenina was okay. My favorite chapters were Levin's and I would have been happy with a book just about him.
I haven’t read on in the series of Dune either, but I’ve reread Dune multiple times! Like 20 at this point?!
@@novelideea I'm not sure I've re-read any book that many times 😅 But I would like to re-read Dune at some point. There was a lot to it, and I don't remember all of it anymore.
