Fun story, im here finding all these bands for the first time by following your comment on another video i was watching... I just want to tell you that you unknowingly gave a total stranger one of the most amazing day if new music ive ever had... Our every decision, big or small, direct or indirect, or in this case incidental,can have the most profound impact on someone else that we may never come to know anything of.

These are all great recommendations - but I think to me what makes them so distinct and interesting is their heavy parts a truly truly heavy.
Not to mention the singer sings with such conviction. He adds a lot of subtle effects (breaths, growls, etc).

Dude!!!! I fuckin love that you did this for us fans! I am in love and obsessed with Vessell and Sleep Token so much so. I even tatted their logo on my throat! However - I literally listen to absolutely no other music at all because ST is just THAT good for me! So, I’m writing all of these artists down as well as all of the other names mentioned in the comments & im going to see if I can find anything that even REMOTELY creates a resemblance of the greatest band to ever live!
VOLA. Massively underrated.
I'd say VOLA are more similar to Leprous, and they have a bit less of the genre-splicing shenanigans ST have been up to recently, but VOLA are utterly phenomenal.

THANK YOU! I live under a rock and most ppl recommend tool, slipknot, deftones, bad omens, breaking Benjamin, etc. nothing wrong with them, but it’s just a different vibe. This list is more my jam.
Some of these artists ( and probably many more) influenced ST - dont forget they are young well schooled musicians so they were exposed to all music out there from classic to jazz gospel and metal etc. To be able to transcribe progressive metal complex songs to piano and present it as a ‘cover’ is humble. Of course there is no band like ST, but similar techniques/chords/soundscape certainly are there for many artists to explore. Voice, not sure why any artist would like to sound anything other than original.
you should check out avarice. they’re a really new band i found on my discovery playlist but they have a sort of style that mixes genres in a similar way. you can look up “EARLY AWAKENING avarice”
Thx for Stoneside for sure - Even tho Jakub and Eden have great sounds, i dont think their overall genre is similar to Sleep Token.
I wanna say that EDEN and Vessel have similar enough tone to their voice, and lyrics can hit in similar ways. To the point when I just started getting into ST I thought it's EDEN's side project before finding out more about ST lmao
Didn’t expect to see EDEN mentioned here. Been a fan of his since he was posting songs with a few thousand listens and went by The Eden Project. Definitely similarities to ST.

I think the bands Pridelands and Banks Arcade deserve some recognition here too
Didn't expect Jakub here, I saw him live last year as support of Riverside and it was best support show I have ever seen. Such an amazing guitarist, always good to see guys from Poland mentioned.
I think it’s the tone of the detuned guitars more than anything. Every other part of each of these songs sound like their own. I wouldn’t say these necessarily sound like sleep token though.

Theres one more artist I know that sounds close to sleep token but the law forbids me from naming them because it may or may not be vessel’s old project. If you know you know, if you don’t know then don’t try and find out.

Those recs are more on the vibe similarities to Sleep token, but for the metal side bands like Leprous and VOLA have been doing this sound a decade before and are great recs, specially because both have same amounts of feel, vocal approach, and taste chosing where to use the heavy parts.

Brakence also comes to mind. Brakence doesn't sound like Sleep Token at all, but he's similar in regards to genre bending, experimental sound, "one man band", and how his album Hypochondriac has a whole storyline being told; the album is like an autobiography of sorts that goes through a rise of internet fame, inflated ego and new love which transitions into psychedelic ego death, heartbreak, and identity crisis.
If you want a "pop" album that fuses 10+ genres, has smooth transitions, and can be an emotional rollercoaster, then I highly recommend the album Hypochondriac by Brakence. It's a very youthful angsty and self-centered album, not very mature, but considering the main theme is about the transition into adulthood I think its incredibly well done.
Brakence's main early influence in his career was EDEN, some of his early works sound like EDEN side projects, so if you like EDEN then you should absolutely give Brakence a try.

Me when I saw Two Feet: 🤯. I'm a fan of Two Feet for so long and the first thing I heard from Sleep Token was actually the last part of The Summoning, and now that I think about this it makes total sense, I'm into #sexycore 😄. On my way to check the other suggestions.

Let's stop saying "sounds like sleep token" because they don't. They are all unique. This is a new age of amazing mixtures of sounds and styles and comparing them all to one band really degrades the effort they put in to be different from the rest.
