- Fork oil change on my Kawasaki z750R
I think it should be done around 1400 miles, mine has a little more than that so decided to do it myself. It's an easy job to do.
each fork leg takes 400ML, so what ever you get out you put the same back in again.
Very good video, greetings from the lifeguard of gran canaria!!

Thanks for the offer of all the bits, but I’m fine.
Hope your ok matey.
Why did you take the entire fork off?
Do you know how much fliud ? need to be refil?
I think it’s about 400ml-410ml
@@paulkevin1966 Thanks for the fast answer :)
Hey Paul, are there any special tools used throughout this process? And how do you where to bring back the fork exactly? Also why you use 5w viscosity if it's written to put 10w? Thanks I'm just about to do so on my z
Amiel Illouz no special tools needed for this job. I was recommended 5W for the folk oil from my Kawasaki dealer. Good luck with your job. 👍🏼😎
@@paulkevin1966 thanx a lot, i see that for the axle nut of the rear wheel i need a special socket ? what is it called please :) thanks a lot mate
How about if your fork was leaking or whatever, so there is not about 400 mL left inside? Do you still refill it with about 400-410 mL? I have a Z1000 year 2011
If its leaking, you need to replace oil seal, and then you dont measure oil quantity, but oil level.
I need to do this on my Versys 650. The manual says to use a special compression tool to loosen the nut. You didn't need to use one?
No I just dropped the oil, changed the filter and put new oil in.
Best phone a kawasaki dealership to make sure.
@@paulkevin1966 Filter? Are you referring to engine oil change or fork oil change?
Sorry buddy you need a torque wrench and the right settings to redo it up

Abdelouahab Belalia no sorry not got a clue what’s going on with that.
How many km's or Miles old that oil please?
I do mine every year, every twelve month. 👍🏼
was there any difference in feel/handling when the oil was changed?
bbck15 yep always feels better after a service, I do it every year no matter how many mile I do weather it’s a lot or not. 👍🏼
@@paulkevin1966 ok. thanks for the reply! mine is way overdue as its never been done in +-16k miles. the suspension does feel a little soft on the front end at times, don't know this is due to the oil or just a soft setup from the factory. or both
Is this the same suspension as the z900?
Not to sure, but I know that the Z750R is a 1000 front end. Hope this helps out.
