Thanks for posting this one. I think a similar thing has happened to our door - the top 'lock' was catching in the frame, but there is no room for wiggle to free that screw in the locking mechanism. I'm thinking of freeing the hinges because at least then we can try to re-open the door to investigate why the lock is sticking.
Morel of story , these doors need maintenance ,, good idea to strip out the entire lock mechanism and grease all sliders / moving parts, every few years or , as soon as you detect ANY sticking or unusual " behaviour " ,,,, isnt hindsight wonderful 😊😊😊😊😊
Quite often when it sticks like this if you put the key in and turn it to open it releases the bolt. It still needs fixing because it’s a pain having to open it with the key every time but at least you can get to the bolts to fix
I have a serious issue in my uPVC door , I have tried everything , the hooks are stuck at the top and I have tried to open the door, I even drilled a few holes to see what's happening but to no avail
Good video. I have a different problem. I have a lean-to Consevatory, every summer I have the same problem with the outside door. I open it ok but if it's hot day I have to really slam it to close it, which is a worry incase the class smashes. And the door going into the house sticks/scrapes on the frame when I close it. Any ideas please
Thanks man. Bottom bolt dropped and wouldn’t lift. Thanks to this gentleman, I managed to remove the hinges and get it sorted. Much obliged
You’re a life saver. Just managed to sort my back door out thanks to this video
glad it could help - never fear - have a go :)

signs were there as you can see where the screw head has damaged the plastic hinges are not always easy to remove

Use a door spreader carefully so the glass does not smash
I feel seasick

I think you may need to just aline it up a little by tightening the things air the other end of the door - if that makes sense.
Where’s the clip of how you actually got the door open? Thanks
I just had to forcefully get a little opining and then wedge something in to give me some leverage
Designed to fail!
