Love me some Kane...he was just very athletic,willowy and dynamic....just stellar. His pencils are beautiful. He reminds me alot of Bagley. and Ferris.
Wow, thanks, Ken, that was really terrific!! I'm a big admirer of Gil's work, but IDK if I've ever seen his pencil roughs. Having seen them now, it makes me respect his work even more.
I'm studying George Bridgeman and other artist with the help of an online school called Watts Atelier of the Arts and I love It.This is cool to see what you both did.
Gil Kane is a big influence on my art as well. I'm sketching the 2nd panel on Page 44 of my FemBat comic book and I'm studying that upper nose shot of a bat demon. He's such a master of comic book anatomy.

What's even more amazing is his choreography for his action scenes, only other artist that come close are Neal Adams and Gene Colan, but they are far below Gil Kane.
