I am glad Cassie settled. I would like to see Diddy pay in jail time for his alleged crimes. But, a trial could be re-traumatizing for Cassie and a huge financial expense for her. There's also the possibility that she would lose. Sadly, Diddy's money affords him lawyers that most people cannot afford. Cassie got what she deserved and can move forward with her life.

Around the world, people with richly melanated skin are falsely taught to not embrace their beauty instead of being taught the truth that richly melanated skin is the skin that wrinkles the least and is much less susceptible to skin cancer. My hope is that people with richly melanated skin who have large platforms try to counteract the negative, false messages about dark skin whenever possible.
You are right about embracing you dark-skinned. I don't think she was coming out against her skin tone. She has noticed or it was brought to her that her hand are a lot darker than her face and arms. So she said in another episode. She's speaking of evening out her hand and knees not changing her skins color. I think evening your skin is different than lightening your skin. He said he had a strict upbringing and both his mother and grandmother kept a close eye on him. He had a good support system. He said when he finisshed high school his mother wanted him to go to college but he begged her to pliz let him try the music industry as that was his passion. His mother gave him one year and told him if he doesn`t make it within that year, he will go to college. He made it and the rest is history. 🙂🙃

I grew up in the 80s/90s and was around the club scene. I heard of many wild parties and events involving celebrities. This was the culture so don't hold your breath when it comes to your faves. Remember that they are just people and we don't really know them. I don't put anything passed anyone. Also I like Keith Sweat too but one of his songs (can't recall the title) has a song with lyrics like "You may be young but your ready." We were teenagers singing the lyrics and didn't think anything of it but if you think about the lyrics in many songs at the time, you'll see that these guys were telling on themselves. It was just accepted.

Hi Auntie Femi, thanks for this update today, but I’d like to point out that you are right, trauma research indicates SEVERE traumatic childhood events can stunt adaptive development and show up in unhealthy ways as adults. BUT contemporary and past psychology research ALSO indicates that 98% of adult behavior/challenges/barriers do not directly correlate to our childhood rearing! Much of the behaviors thoughts and emotions presented in adulthood is a direct effect of the peers, idols, mentors, and friends we value and look up to in adolescence and adulthood. Most ppl dnt value parental guidance and often discard things we learned through observation as children. Especially if it was unhealthy. Uhhh can’t blame ALL this on his childhood. My mother was FAR from the best due to her own trauma history but my siblings and I never allegedly OR actually did any of the things we saw or experienced. This is on who HE chooses to be. IJS
You mentioned that most people disregard parental guidance, which indicates that some people don't. I'm not defending his behavior, but it just shows that there is a possibility, he might be one of those people that might have been affected by childhood trauma, which would be unfortunate, but also the victims of his abuse.

Again I never said trauma at any stage of life does not impact us and those in our circles, but it should never be used or seen as a justifiable excuse for ones personal choices. We must all stand up and accept judgment for our individual actions. Many known serial killers have traumatic backgrounds at the hands of caregivers too but it never stopped a judge or jury of their peers from holding them accountable for their individual choices. IF he's guilty he should be looked at for his own choices with compassion for what he went through as a child, but not as a justification for the heinous allegations against him. Wasn't there a story put out by Aaron Halls ex about how Tupac prevented Aaron Hall from *sacrificing* her while she was pregnant?! It was supposedly around the time that he had the song, "I Miss You," where essentially the video detailed how his woman was killed while pregnant. After that was prevented, seems his career faded away.
There's nothing to be suprised about and he's definitely not the only one with these allegations.. Expect more cases with other entertainers in the future these people have been showing their lifestyles in their music and in their lifestyles for years and these things were the norm back then I dunno if it's still the case to today because I live under a rock for the most part but yea I'm not suprised at all these 🤷🏾♀️
