I think what is often not mentioned is that as a young woman she watched Joshua on Dawson Creek and had a crush that can influence you completely . Same as for Christians. There are many people that are Christian in name only, and not actually walking and living according to Biblical principles + on a daily basis. When you have a situation where one spouse is saved & santified/all in for Jesus and the other is lukewarm or Christian in title only, well then we call that unequally yoked. I wasn't behind closed doors with Tia and her ex-husband, so I have no idea what their daily walk looks like. That said, there's something to be said for the overall, U.S. divorce rate being 50% versus Christian marriage divorce rate at half that (25%). I saw another youtuber make a good point that the pandemic and aftermath made people go to therapy and start healing and growing because they had time to and realizing that they are in unhealthy situations and are leaving whereas before the pandemic they were busy and distracted so might stay. Being in a marriage when one person is in the public eye it's very difficult for so many reasons. If both people are in the public eye that's another ballgame. Ego. Jealousy that she gets more work than him. Who makes more money. The temptation to cheat with a 'fan'. Marriage is already challenging. Add show business to it and the challenges can quadruple.
I would venture to say that sometimes cultural differences are more of an issue than race

Their child was born less than 9 months after their marriage. This makes me think she asked him to marry her because she was pregnant, and he said yes because she was pregnant. If that is the case, they never married for love and neither used protection to keep from becoming parents.

Same as for Christians. There are many people that are Christian in name only, and not actually walking and living according to Biblical principles + on a daily basis. When you have a situation where one spouse is saved & santified/all in for Jesus and the other is lukewarm or Christian in title only, well then we call that unequally yoked.
I wasn't behind closed doors with Tia and her ex-husband, so I have no idea what their daily walk looks like. That said, there's something to be said for the overall, U.S. divorce rate being 50% versus Christian marriage divorce rate at half that (25%). Shared values, as Fumi spoke to in this video, is more important than folks realize.
