Private practice Derm guys get paid like $350K a year for working 40-50 hours a week. Few lawsuits, no late night emergencies either. Pretty sweet life, and even though Derm sounds boring, everything gets kind of boring after doing it for 10 years, including surgery.
I watched this because im an ER resident and the other day I called derm for an opinion and they were so peaceful and lovely and polite. When I got off the phone I told I said to the others we should have all chosen derm and they told me to watch this haha, its so accurate.

Besides doing tiny procedures and seeing patients, you also need to be good at immunology and histopathology of every skin condition (something surgeons and internists never even pay attention to). Plus the fact that there are thousands of conditions and manifestations.
Not really, dermatologist have it is easier once they become a dermatologist but the path to become a dermatologist is much more competitive than becoming a surgeon.
