Thanks. I have a similar problem with an IHI excavator that uses an Isuzu engine. I tried replacing the primer pump first. I revived the engine but it didn't get rid of the air leak problem. Now I'm replacing the whole lift pump like you. You can buy parts cheaply on Alibaba -- made in China, of course, but good quality.
Did the truck start ok before? My truck has a long crank time before ignition… (4 seconds cold, 6 when hot) then it fires and runs fine. Havent found any fuel leaks, I’m thinking primer pump maybe? Any input helps.
Rodney, Was running slightly rough. Check the fuel water separator while it is running and make sure air isn't coming in the system. If so check for leaks in the line from the tank.

I have same model, fuel drips out the top of the primer plunger, long crank times. New primer only, on the way.

Would start sometimes but not others with varying crank times.
Did the primer pump fix your problem?
How was the truck running prior to changing the pump? I'm having the same issue with losing pressure.
