Mastering Pioneer Brews | Expert Tips for Crafting Unique Decks & Dominating the Meta!

Off the back of seeing a top tier deck in Rakdos Vampires take down a Pioneer brew in 5 Color Dragons, Tom and Kyle discuss why the top tier decks are as powerful and resiliant as they are, citing how the decks can recover when Players don't pressure them enough instead of just trying to answer them.
From there, they go into how Players should look at brewing decks in general, but specifically for the Pioneer format. The discussion uses decks like Dimir Mill as an example of a fringe deck that can attack different parts of the metagame, while needing to concede some matchups to stay focused on it's game plan. Tom and Kyle also talk about how "sacrificing" a bad matchup is sometimes better than trying to sideboard for small percentage points that might make your "good" matchups "worse" after Game 1.

Thanks for posting this! I've been on a Dimir kick lately and have been brewing my own control and mill decks in Arena for eventual league play on MTGO. I'll definitely be watching this multiple times.
