Hey thanks for the great information man. I used to use a ball mouse from HCL. It was quite common at that time. optical mouse were a bit rare or costly to find at that time. Those days were great back then. I was using a system having Pentium 4 and 512mb ram and windows xp and dual boot with windows 98. It was year 2004. Now imaging any OS run in 512mb ram or even 1gb ram is kind of impossible. By the way I had learned somewhere that one more advantage of PS2 port was that it does not used to ask the mouse for any input signals. whereas in usb port mouse continuously keep asking whether there is a signal from the system, I guess that is called the polling rate of the mouse If I am not wrong. Because of this usb mouse could reduce the performance of computers those days. But now in modern computers we cannot notice that difference.

Yeh maine apne 2007 ke HP Compaq Presario Desktop PC me dekha tha -- Jis saal ka setup ussi saal kharida tha. As of 2012, PS/2 aana bandh ho gaya PCs aur workstations me.
That old pin was very delicate. If that pin got bent then gone. It was not working. We had to buy new keyboard/mouse 😅
My 1st pc 💻 was of ps2 pins and I used that ball mouse 🖱 too white color old days

the reason might be that those thing were extremyl fragile, i still remeber breaking those pins of the keyboard in the process of installing it, it was a NIGHTMARE to use those things.

Mere Ghar mein abhi bhi 2-3 ball mouse khojne se mil jayenge. Optical mouse to baad mein aaye. Aur PS2 mouse keyboard abhi bhi mere ek purane PC mein hai.lekin use main USB hi karta hoon. PS2 mouse abhi bhi kuchh weigh bridge ki machines mein lagta hai

Sagar bhai mere pas macbook 2014 mid ha usko mene big sur version pr update kia ha tab se lag krha ha or bhut bekr hogya mera macbook ka keyboard or mouse kharab ha to reset kese kro? external connect hojata ha but macbook me cmd key hota ha or windows wala keyboard ha mere pas external to usme cmd button nahi ha.
macbook ko reset krne ke lite restart krna parta ha uske bad cmd + r press krna parta ha yahi masla arha ha keyboard kharab ha mac ka or uper se external keyboard me cmd nahi ha.
School mein kisi ladke ne mouse ka trackball nikal liya tha computer lab se. Ab pata nahi kaise nikala gaya hoga aur mere ghar mein pehle computer aaya toh uske saath PS/2 port wala keyboard aur mouse tha.
Lekin ek pareshani nahi bataya gaya hai ki:-
