  • By adding a PVC pipe to the cutting edge the blower picks up a lot less gravel.

Wow your rear PTO blower seems to have no trouble with moving that heavy snowfall. Thanks for posting and sharing, ll the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸

In some areas the snow drifts were about two feet deep so I had to use the slowest gear on my tractor, using the blower is hard on the neck but its good to have for the deep stuff.

I actually don't use that blower much, most of the time I am using my tractor with the back blade or my ATV with a plow.

I added a pvc pipe to the bottom edge of my rear blade. Wonderful. Until 2/3 way through the job when it broke. So then I tried a steel pipe. Which got bashed flat, but took 2 complete sessions to do it. Still looking for the magic material.

Try ABS, I have had my pipe on my back blade for a few seasons now.

@@timberray9572 Ill give that a shot, I like not digging up what little gravel I have left.

UHMW plastic is much stronger and slicker than pvc or abs

@@TheMajictech The pipe was free and it's been on there for a few seasons already.

cool trick! How do you attach it and what material did you end up using?

Put some tire chains on that rig!

This was one time where chains would have been nice, for my regular snow clearing I just don't need them. Happy new year.

so i've ordered a snow pusher simply because the thought of backing up all the time makes my neck ache. do you find that to be an issue? and the front mount blowers are just too expensive.

    • @timberray9572
      @timberray9572  Před rokem +1

I use the blower only when I have to, driving backwards is not fun. My preferred method of moving snow with a tractor is a back blade, I have a video of how good it works. My suggestion would be if you are only going to use a front snow pusher to get as much ballast on your tractor as you can for traction.
      Good luck.

Cool. What size of PVC pipe did you use? Thanks

I used a three inch pipe, and its actually abs pipe which is more durable. Been using the same pipe for two winters now and I think it will hold up for a couple more.

Next modification should be a hydraulic chute, must be a pain to rotate it by hand every time?

For the one time a year I use the blower it's not worth it.
