What amazes me the most is how easily Jack adapts his playing style to the purpose and musical style of the particular guitar he reviews. Really unbelievable... 🎸 Keep up the good work, Jack! We really enjoy your videos!
I kinda prefer this kind of sound demo. It's short and concise. No talking about spec which we can check ourselves.
I agree. I mostly look at reviews to see how the guitar sounds and how it looks in real life. Not just website pictures.
Not my kind of music at all (although I love their first record), but I admire Jim a lot. He's a lot more than a metal player. Lots of knowledge and soul. Great demo. No doubt he'll appreciate it.
In general, metal music is soul and knowledge, and each musician from various bands demonstrates it on their instrument, although perhaps the vocal part is not to the general liking
bought the black version and a couple things i noticed.
this guitar is well built especially the neck
it's rock solid can't wiggle the neck like most twangers
also the trem works and stays in tune
it reminds me of the trem that came with those yamaha rgx 621D models
the fine tune screws are good quality no wiggly bits
the trem itself seems solid better quality than the rgx i own
now the bad part
the yamaha i've owned for 30+ years didn't have this problem at all
i'm getting fret sprout really really bad
i noticed it started on the 18th fret on the top edge of the fretboard
now it has fret sprout on the entire neck
i bought the thing on dec.24 now i have an awesome guitar with bad fret sprout on EVERY fret!
i know weather can effect guitar necks, but this is just bad
c'mon fender get your QC together
i'm thinking the neck is too rock solid???
i bought the yamaha around 1993-1994 and NEVER had any issues with fret sprout
i just had a fret job done on it last month and it plays and sounds awesome
i've owned this charvel for 24 days and all the frets are sprouting
for the $$$ i spent WTH!!
Great hot rodded tone, probably a Marshall or Soldano head ? And the Charvel it self a hot rodded strat, it sounds amazing, so far this is the best demo on the net. Cheers from Morocco
@Peach Guitars Beautiful!!! Been waiting to see this demo’d! Contemplating this or his Strat. Interesting that for almost identical specs across his Fender/Charvel guitars, this new Daemonium EMG set does have a slight more passive tone to them. Perhaps not so compressed as the 81/60 in his other signatures. Great demo!

@@courtney2809100 Great to hear!! Glad you dig it! The cost doesn’t bother me so much because the Jim Root Fender is about $500 more! 🤯 I just to make sure I grab the “right” one. I have his Tele for drop C tuning and it’s amazing. Did you get the white or black Charvel?

I'd of bought the black also but that would be maybe not sensible.😀

@@Century_Road_Official according to specs it's a maple fretboard, personally would rip out the EMGs and load in some Suhr Doug Aldrich pups in this solid mahog body.

Was really surprised to find this guitar comes stock with 9-42 gauge strings. Considering Slipknot plays in drop B I think? It coming with a set of 9s makes zero sense to me. No way your tuning a 42 gauge string down to low B.
