Hi there! I am Joseph.
I have been an immigrant / expat living in central Portugal along with my beautiful girlfriend Mariana for seven years now.
Together Mariana, my father Clinton and myself, would like to show you a bit of the daily goings on around our Portuguese farm / homestead / smallholding and all of the work we are doing whilst renovating, starting building projects, working with our livestock, DIY and trying to grow our little families own food!
See our journey to self-sufficiency / permaculture / organic farming living in Portugal, trying to produce as much of our own food planting vegetables, growing fruit trees as well as looking after all our animals, such as our chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, quail, rabbits and sheep - Shortly pigs too!

I enjoy your videos & am very disappointed that you haven't provided any new ones for the past 3 weeks.
I'm very interested in the house for sale in Silvares (45k euros) and possibly the 3 hectare fruit farm with ruin, municipal electricity & water for 65k euros. Please advise me, where is fruit farm located & how close to Silvares is it? Regarding the ruin, can it be restored or built up to its existing footprint or larger and? Is it registered & what would be required to get things started?
If these properties remain available, when would I be able to see the them & when could you show the inside of the ruin on the fruit farm? I won't be available to come until late summer or early fall of 2023 but am very interested in talking to you about the amount of work required for the farm & how many people I'd need to help me manage it.

you won't get habitation for any agricultural support building, the clue is normally a complete lack of made up road leading to it

Is a reason why they don’t let people take down the ruins and build a new house? Like a little bigger as well. To tell you the truth I don’t see anything architecturally with most ruins and in Portugal only Algarve with a mix of Greek and Moorish houses and Alentejo with the so called “casas senhoriais”.

Since it is nearly Christmas, i was surprised that the citrus fruits were not yet ripe.
Normally speaking yes, would be now, but we had some funny weather this year, too dry, too mild temps 😊

You didn't see / hear?! It was written on the screen in large writing for the very first ten seconds of the film... Then It is written in the video description, first line.... Then it is verbally stated in the film also. If you were to properly check you would see it really is not hard to find the price in any of the three mentioned places.
