Looks a cracking buggy for blasting about with. Its not fair that kids get these type of cars to what we got back in the day 😂 5 mins of fun then a long wait to charge up again 😁

I'm over 65, my dog died last year, so I wanted a hobby. I have 3 crawlers, and I bought a desert buggy today.
What an awesome little truck, love it!!
It’s not bad at all is it, runs pretty well and it puts a little smile on your face :)
I like this little truck a lot, I like that a recognized brand like Hpi produces it, the engine style in the center and 2wd are also very interesting. Although for some reason in my country (Mexico) you hardly hear about these monsters (but there is a lot of influence from Banggood and AliExpress) greetings, one day I hope to have one.
It's a really nice buggy, this one, Andy! It's made by HBX and their stuff is usually really good, very durable plastics, nice quality. I've been scoping for this one for a while, but for some reason not yet got it, seems that all kinds of other things keep taking my attention, ha ha!
Yeah, I wouldn't imagine you'd run the Egress through the puddles like that... Good thing we got so many different RC cars, for all kinds of usage!

Cheers Mads, I’m sure I mentioned it was the same as a HBX? Can’t remember now. Quality seemed really good on it and there was some nice touches/featured to it. Definitely need a few RCs for different weather types. Take care and have a good weekend.

Yeah it’s not bad at all especially for a youg’un with the 3 step speed dial on the handset . Really needed a steering dual rate though

Looks pretty good for the price Andy 👍 bigger and better handling than an ftx tracer but still fairly compact. Also means you can have a bit of fun in the winter without crapping up your favourite cars 😁
Hi Steve , definitely good for the price, I can’t comment on the tracer as I’ve never tried one. Nice and compact like you’ve said and there’s sone nice features on it. Cheers
My Daughter has got the BZ Slyder which is a great car for a kid. I don't know if you found it on this one but the range was absolutely brilliant on it. Covered the length of a football pitch without losing signal
Hi Rich , Range seemed pretty good although I didn’t go as far as a football pitch length ;) not bad little truck and good fun on some rough tracks

Looking at the chassis of my hbx903 it’s the same truck. We ran ours on 3s yesterday and it rips, and the esc and motor stayed ice cold

Update. Should of bought the last desert truck my shop had yesterday. It's an unbelievable value, 100% happy.

No it’s Josh a brushed motor , I’m sure you could make it brushless tbough
Parts availability?
Parts availability shouldn’t be to bad as it’s a shared rc platform with HBX so you should be able to gets parts for them fairly easily also where you buy it from should be able to get in spares for you
How fast is it
It’s not mega mega fast , plenty enough for. Young kid as a starter car , it probably went about 15mph, guessing as I no longer have it
Underpowered, fragile, waste of my money!
I think it’s muted aimed at kids more than anything more of a starter car. I gave this one away to someone getting into the hobby.
