I think people are confused, satan doesn’t rule hell- he will burn and suffer punishment there; God said hell was never meant for humans, it was meant for his fallen angels. It’s not his domain rather it’s his eternal punishment. Hell is not a big party. We need to shed light on this fact, I think no one really knows the degree and reality of what hell will be, maybe it will make people more serious.
I used to believe that lie in my childhood and teen years, but rebuked it since my 30's.
The devil is creation and owns or is ruler of nothing, so we are.
So, when Satan made the third attempt at tempting Our Lord Jesus Christ to offer all kingdoms of the Earth in exchange for Jesus bowing to Satan, that lie in and on itself was of the most blasphemous and of the most hollow nature.
Even Jesus spoke more about hell than He spoke about heaven.
Might as well have been meant for humans if the majority of humans go there

@@Dormancy568 I was going to say doom or diablo. other than that I don't see many games distort or deny the word of God other than the small indie games you can find in bulk on the steam marketplace, but those are the least popular.
Another one is poppy playtime, especially that third chapter that just came out.
@@Dormancy568 oh, I play it and I thought about it as well. It is very concerning about the ´Gods´ and Archons part since these archons have literally demon names like Baal for Ei etc.
There is also an overseen popular Otome(dating) fantasy game called ´Obey me´, romanticizing 7 demons in it which refer to the seven deadly sins. The names were clearly mentions as Mamoon, Asmodeus, Beelzebub etc.
Think thats also a bad one since many swoon over it and think its alright to romanticize these demons.

I watched this show a few years back on youtube when it only had a couple of concept episodes. They did a very good job of making it cute and funny and relatable enough to the point that if you're not careful you start to fall for the deception and sympathize with theire lies. The devil is very clever, he knows he doesn't have to bad mouth God out loud, he only has to redirect our attention and our alliegence by picking at our insecurities and problems and pretending that he was not the cause.
I watched the pilot episode as well too maked you wonder what type of religion the producer/creator is in because hazbin isn't the only show they've made there's another one as well too

Let me rephrase this because, this sounds wild. This specific video I stand by. The series hazbin Hotel, which I sat through, was completely pointless. They entertain an idea that is completely impossible. Which is, can damned sinners repent once in hell and go to heaven. The answer is just no. Despite the main characters being demons/sinners in hell, they show them in such a humane and real way.
No, the show doesn't say "umm achually hell is good and heaven is bad!! 🤓🤓" They are saying that everyone is a human who will make mistakes and will sin. It's not trying to show their sinners as some innocent people who got sent to hell for no reason. It's acknowledging their wrongs but also giving them a chance to live. To be redeemed and be better people.

What I found thinking about the show is simply a retelling of how things played out if Heaven was indeed ruled by angels rather than God, and I have thought that the rebellion of Lucifer played out differently, where the angels cast him out before he even got to instigate one, or atleast get a huge movement going, rather than how it is said that God banished him and his army during said rebellion. Also think that the whole thing with Adam is what made me the most uncomfortable simply because they portrayed him as this irredeemable villain yet is still put in a position of power in Heaven of all places.
We just saw we're Christian & it's a problem to the world. Yet they make movies, music & shows that blatantly attack & mock our faith, & they want us to smile about it. That's frustrating...

You don't have to watch the show if it bothers you, that's what I do when I don't like something. But if you do watch Hazbin Hotel. it's actually pretty interesting. It's basically about sinners getting redeemed and showing that people can change from their old bad habits and become better people.

I watched all of the episodes in S1 and yes they made lucifer as a goofy and misunderstood guy. The Series is very deceitful and dissapointing. I am concerned for those who watches this series whilst being ignorant of the truth in the Bible.

Vivziepop doesn't wish to portray God or Jesus Christ within her show because she believes that it may be offensive to portray such important religious roles.
Lucifer is different as he is an easy role to manipulate. She isn't trying to say the devil is a good thing. She's created her own character with the same role and name.
And deeper at the core of Hazbin Hotel is the idea of redemption, which is a flaw within the Christian Ideology. That sinners shall "burn in hell forever", as you have put it. People can be redeemed and forgiven. Isn't *that* more of a Christian belief?
Yes people can be redeemed by faith in Jesus that he died for your sins and roses from the dead 3 days later that is redemption in our faith And you must believe as you're alive In hell, the Bible clearly says for those that do not believe in Jesus will have eternal death. Eternal which means It is forever no redemption in hell.

I remember this show releasing it's pilot on the web five or so years ago. Back then, the creator really struggled to get the show off the ground and instead focused her efforts on another show called "Helluva Boss" which I remember enjoying back when it first came on CZcams. At least, until they introduced a "transgendered" demon, which even I couldn't abide by back then.
It's amazing how much Jesus has opened my eyes to how horrible shows like this are and I'm sorry for ever giving views to these them. To see Hazbin Hotel actually get on a streaming service is disheartening, but it at least exposes just how transparent and desperate the Devil has been lately.
Also, why am I not surprised to find the show never mentions God? I even recall the characters from the other show even questioning if there was a God. It's almost as if people like this are at least semi-aware that what they're doing is wrong and are afraid of blaspheming our Lord's name.
It's a fictional Hell and yeah I honestly prefer they don't mention God because it's a fictional story.
But I digress the idea is interesting in itself and I love the characters.

Its an animated series. Yes, it shouldn't be taken as fact it's fiction. However, its a fictional show I think you're reading way too much into this. I recall people getting very angry when Harry Potter came out. Lilith is based on a Jewish legend. Viv created a show when she may herself not be a Christian.

The biggest turnoff for me (besides everything you mentioned) is how it pushes the idea that we can repent while in hell and just switch to heaven, when we really only have one life to choose how we’ll spend eternity. They also portray the angels as total narcissistic buttholes and demons as good and misunderstood. Really paints a picture of how today’s society sees God’s people vs. the world.
The overall, big, big issue you wrote about is pride, self-reliance, etc. Pride is sneaky... The demons are glamorized cause they're rebellious, and some people think God and Jesus are overbearing. Truly tho, we know nothing as humans, haha.

It has been very hard for me to be "submissive" or not independent (not practically but in theory), especially because I hate unfairness, unequality in general since always and i always fought for those who are in a lesser position, what happens in the world today makes me so mad at men, feelings of hate, anger when I see the news and everything and then trying to be "lesser in power" while I'm feeling different from other women, makes me very depressed and poisoned feeling. I'm a Christian my whole life, but really struggling with all this, I don't know how to approach everything because of my traumas etc. If you could advise me on what to do, approach this and pray for me if you can, I don't want to perish, but it's hard for me to feel like a lesser than men. Vlad, I also have a lazy eye. A brain surgery damaged an optic nerve giving it to me. That was 30 years ago. My eyes were usually red because of eye strain. Just years ago I had another failed eye surgery and was prescribed prism glasses. Bud, when I put them on I felt an immediate release in tension in my muscles. I think this is happened because many man doesn't take responsible in his family, abandon their family, abuse their wife or children, cheating on their married. If a man keeps God's word and leading his family in right pathway, giving good example to his children, this thing won't happened. Like people said many man nowadays fatherless, he is present but he isn't really there with his family.
The bible doesn't speak of a "devil". Satan is an adjective with the definition meaning "adversary/opposer" and hell is just a few lines of vague consequence not a realm. Hell and lucifer were made by poets years later kinda similarly to hazbin and how they put a twist on those stories. As for lilith she was part of the bigger eden story from Judaism before jesus was born where they would have the longer lore passed down by tongue and the concise version by written word. The written version excludes lilith and is the one we all know that Christians have continued. It was only after a many more years from the original that lilith would get her role as a demon after just like with lucifer writers would create new stories and made her into a demon that represents the unideal women in contrast to the original which was just a better written story and that is too old and possibly incomplete because of loss of parts through time to even fully understand who lilith truly was if it was indeed larger than what weve been passed down.

I watched Hazbin Hotel as a Christian, still am a Christian. I pray, read my Bible, much more. I think it is interesting, and in fact it's made me read my Bible more, pray and study the word more.
God and Jesus used parable, analogy, symbolism, and metaphor to tell stories and lessons. Even movies and books like Lord of the Rings and Narnia are heavily inspired by Christianity(Aslan is literally Jesus). I'm actually working on a speed paint series for Genshin Impact of how the different Archons relate back to God. I'm the kind of person who looks for the God in things rather than the devil. I'm also working on my own show thats heavily inspired by the Bible, especially the books of Enoch and Revelations.
I say this to say that some fear the devil more than they love the lord. There are those in the kingdom who practice extreme literalism, the same literalism, dogma, and extremism that lead to the 90s satanic panic and the early 2000s flight from the church; now there are a bunch of old guard Christians crying and hollering, asking God why so many young people are running from faith(even though they were the ones that pushed the children away). I think that fantasy and storytelling are untapped markets for is christians, instead of just adapting the bible 1-1(which is completely viable and should be done), we should also be taking inspiration from the bible and lessons in the Bible to tell engaging and touching stories.
There also is room for deeper thoughts and discussions in shows. Not just, "turn it off, don't watch it." "That's sinful". I look at fantasy and I like to think of what God would do or ask God his thoughts. Lord of the Rings? I'm pretty sure God would send down an angel to smite Sauron. Harry Potter? Jesus would probably punch Voldemort in the face.
Yes, there is a spiritual world. Things have energies and connotations. I guess some people just aren't ready or willing to process and discuss their beliefs. I propose, a friendly Christian debate, you always have a chance to prove a nonbeliever wrong, but reflect on the word with two or three other people. Then pray for discernment.

I agree. Although there is a balance between overstating the devil's power and simply brushing it off (not saying you are doing either). It's important to remember that the devil does have power, and that sin has a particular advantage over us until we are reunited with Jesus in heaven. However, Jesus has overcome death and the devil - although that doesn't mean we should preoccupy ourselves with demonic themes. Again, like everything, there is balance.
I think Hazbin Hotel was helpful for me to watch because it helped me understand how the World sees the devil nowadays - but also that us humans can't comprehend the huge implications that death has, both living with God or without him for eternity. It was easier for me to watch when there was no mention of God, and Eve was completely scrapped as this pulled it more away from reality for me. It is sad however that no one in heaven, and not even the demons, understood the true route to heaven, but I suppose that also reflects most people's knowledge nowadays.
I guess what I am saying is that the devil's power should not be understated or overstated. As Christians still living on earth we are influenced every day by sin and the devil, but of course God is always willing to receive us back once we repent, as he is patient, kind and in control.
I agree with your views on fiction and the way in which you viewed Hazbin Hotel. I responded to the show very similarly - it helped me think more about my Faith and grow deeper in my relationship with God.
I think it depends on the person and the mindset. If you are secure in your Faith then I don't think the show can significantly harm you, but of course alternatively there is always better media to consume, which I am learning find a balance between now :)

Although, when the devil is mentioned you will find it understandable for Christians to look at how the character is portrayed in relation to our Faith. This doesn’t mean we will force our perspectives onto others - this type of discussion is mostly between Christians. Nevertheless, the devil, like God, is an undeniable connection to Christianity (at least for Christians) and so we can’t help viewing media with this perspective in mind.
Also, I do agree. Lucifer was a very different character to Satan as portrayed in the Bible. I must admit I liked him. It was sweet how enthusiastic he was to interact with Charlie. I did enjoy the show (despite being set in hell) as the characters were well fleshed-out and I am interested in media with very flawed characters.

I have a friend who DOES NOT watch the show but listens to one of the songs in there, which is most probably just as dangerous. When we (my other friend and I) try to tell her, she simply replies that she doesn't watch the show. And she knows God is king, but I still think she shouldn't be listening to a song from a demonic propaganda show.

@asharp117 A few things that don't sit right with me, but the quick ones are that the person playing Jesus is a catholic and was seen praying to the dead (not biblical) and the Bible is sufficient enough. They added stuff between what's in the Bible or some not mentioned (like giving Peter's wife a name when it's never mentioned in scripture) and the biggest problem now is that the guy playing Jesus is now what some picture when thinking of Jesus (problematic).
So, for me, it's scripture and definitely not needed to make a show or movie of Jesus when it can easily break the 2nd commandment and lead people to rather quote the Chosen than the Bible.
