I just grabbed a new book and feel like a sponge trying to learn. Creator knows I have more questions than answers just keep digging

There I got my answer I needed. Old and finally getting at knowledge,like a sponge. Almost fun to learn or more aware of my intuition before.

Sorry, but not sorry. I've read Enoch and many other apocryphal texts and they didn’t run me away from the Lord, they actually drew me closer to Him. My understanding opened up a lot more. Like all things, I read them with a grain of salt and I let Holy Spirit show me what was for me and the importance of each one. The Spirit of the Lord will not let you be deceived!!!

I think the fact that Jude clearly read it is proof enough that there is nothing wrong with reading it.
Personally I think we should just read it without necessarily taking everything as pure fact.

Yes, I felt a stirring in my spirit that lead to a more appreciation of Jesus, His Word and a desire to worship Him. I feel there is so much of it that could not come from the mere imagination of man so I sense another inspiration was involved.
Exactly, this guy trys to make it seem like random people got together and put together there imagination for this book. The Book of Enoch was found with the Dead sea scrolls proving it existed well before. Jude under inspiration of the Holy Ghost in his letter quoted the book of Enoch and in the Gospel of Matthew Jesus did too when he said to the Pharisees "You are wrong because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels of God in heaven" Jesus called it Scripture and that verse is found in the book of Enoch.

Enoch’s book was preserved on the arc through the flood. The book of Jude mentions Enoch’s book. I don’t see anything in Enoch that contradicts scripture. It adds details to events recorded in scripture.
It's a dangerous book that can make people feel sorry for demons, has this seems to be a growing trend. It also can give Credence to satanists who say they are misunderstood

Thank you for this video, it seems to be all I’m hearing about lately.
Very informative video without spending hours to explain it for my short attention span. I always felt it can’t have been me at to be in the Bible because God would have made sure it was if it was meant to be, but this video gives me peace that I was discerning correctly. I have friends who are getting into ‘Christian mysticism’ and one follows a well known’mystic’ who believes aliens built the pyramids and uses the book of Enoch to support his theory. I tried to watch a bit of his videos as I wanted to see what she is into BUT my spirit was screaming at me to turn it off. I felt such confusion come over me and spent days seeking God about it and He said - what has been the fruit of you looking into all this? I realised it’s been confusion. That isn’t God.
I've read this book three times it blows my mind. Pastors have told me never to read it. I've read that one and I've read the book of jasher and the book of jubilees all these books are very interesting.
It is very time to penetrate the deep things of God,
what lies in the deep waters, the uncharted territories, must be exposed and shone to be seen by the Light of God.

I've always been interested in the book of Enoch but never truly understood the origins or authenticity, I may still read it just to get a better understanding of it. 🙏
If you want some people defend the book of First Enoch but they reject the added accounts like the supposive 2nd Enoch or 3rd Enoch which I heard turns Enoch into metatron which oc.cult and unscriptural.
A group like the god culture who are also on youtube have videos going indepth about First Enoch.

I came across a guy on CZcams called Trey Smith, of God in a nutshell, and he goes into great detail about the Nephilim. I would strongly suggest looking him up. His research is Year's worth of studies of the Nephilim and Enoch.
Trey Smith is amazing I've watched his works for years. Minor speculations, and he lays out hard-core facts.
What I find kind of fascinating is the fact that the Ethiopian Orthodox have included it, and the fact they have monolithic churches that are older than the St. Peter's basillica. I personally have been in the churches in Ethiopia and it's truly mindblowing. I like the reverence to the Ethiopian Orthodox, but I really wonder WHY? Why do the Ethiopian Orthodox have included it?

The first book of Enoch is not the same as 2nd and 3rd. Do not conflate them. 1st book of Enoch adds GREAT detail to that which is noted in Genesis 1-6.The 2nd and 3rd books of Enoch are pure mysticism...

I think 1 Enoch is fine to read as a historical document/account. The fact that it was in the Dead Sea scrolls I feel validates it a bit more as well. When I was looking into 2 and 3 Enoch awhile back I feel like the Holy Spirit was telling me NO NO AVOID but did not feel that conviction with 1 Enoch at all. There’s a book out there that I haven’t read yet but it contains Genesis, Jubilees, Jasher and 1 Enoch and fills in all the extreme details and backstory of that time. Might be worth checking out someday.

That's interesting.. because 1 thing that stood out to me, was how in Enoch, it says Jesus comes with 10,000s of his holy ones. But the bible says, Jesus comes back with the 144k.. so that too was a little confusing... ?

To say no one knows who wrote it, and then go on to say Enoch didn't, makes no sense.. If you don't know who wrote it, then Enoch could possibly have😂😂
Based on the comments, many still don’t understand what the pastor just said about the book. The authors are unknown, because Jude quotes a passage from the book, doesn’t necessarily mean that the entire writing is authentic or reliable, and lastly, it isn’t included in the Cannon of scripture, because God says so via the Holy Spirit’s guiding our forefathers, as to what books should be included.
I think the book Enoch is just the extra info from Genesis regarding the origin of the Nephilim but it's not to be treated as the gospel

@@sisigs4820 is it ? I read a lot of it and it seemed to line up with what the Bible says. I enjoyed it cause it talked about the beginning of Abrams life and it helped me understand some things I didn't before.
Ken Johnson does a lot on the Dead Sea scrolls and works to make sure they are accurate or is similar to canon. If I remember correctly Ethiopian Enoch and Dead Sea scrolls Enoch are very similar. Some Enoch’s are off. We have canon but others can be used for history.

1 Enoch is the only legit one, written by Enoch, the oldest text on earth…. 2 and 3 Enoch were written by Jewish rabbis almost 1,000 years later…. First Enoch is the only one in the Dead Sea Scrolls.…. If something is in the Dead Sea Scrolls, you can trust that it is the inspired word of God if it’s not in the Dead Sea Scrolls than it is not inspired.
1 Enoch, use the RH Charles version. Also check out 2 Esdras (found in the 1611 KJV) and the book of jubilees.

I know there are diff versions, but since there is also fake ones and dark knowledge, I never felt led to read the book of Enoch, maybe because i didnt want to fall into deception or taint my spirot with the wrong book, the book of knowledge, eeks...

Think of it this way... Satan attacks the truth he always has. The Bible is the truth. It's why he is changing it and removing key verses in newer translations and trying to get books like these accepted to get believers to get their focus off God and onto anything else.
People are super curious about Enoch and nephilim. What better topics to put in a book to lead people away and focus on this obsession with nephilim than a false pretender book bearing Enochs name and offering the perfect bait for the things humans are curious about?

I have read the apocrypha twice. Some great books, like Judith, Susanna, I particularly liked Maccabee’s, though it’s very graphic in describing some of the deaths. I liken the Apocrypha to The Directors cut, which still exists in some Eastern Orthodox regions. Some of it is a bit clunky in its writing style.

The book of Enoch was found in the same cave with Isaiah in the dead sea scrolls. It, among other books, need to be put BACK into the canon. The devil has hidden the word of God from us long enough. The fear of God is in the book of Enoch and the devil don't want you to have that. Go read it if you haven't.
Don’t give satan that much credit. If God wanted to have the book of Enoch in the Bible, He would. The Bible is the Word of God. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
@@angelabratton3668 Perhaps you should go learn your history. The book of Enoch used to be in the canon but was removed. He's not powerless. And God isn't stupid either. He made sure the gospel was still true in its form even without the missing books in the current canon. But they most certainly belong there.

As one who is a SHEPERD @Vlad Savchuk, I think you made a bad call in discussing the book of Enoch. It had the opposite effect of what you probably were trying to achieve. You actually have MORE PEOPLE searching, researching, and studying this APOCHRYPHA book of Enoch than before.

What about the other books that some types of Christians eg catholic or orthodox say was part of the bible but man took them out cauee they didnt like them .eg psalm 151, extra chapters of daniel and esther, judith etc

Much like the book of Enoch the honest answer is, no one knows, so those can’t be a valid reasons to discount Enoch 1 as canon. When you research the book of Enoch you will find that it was accepted by the Jews, prior to Jesus, as canon. Then between 200-300 AD, a small Jewish council removed it from their scriptures.
Do you know why?
Because the book clearly prophesied and pointed to Jesus being the Messiah. This is also why Isaiah 53 was eventually removed from the Hebrew Bible because it is also a clear prophecy about Jesus being the long awaited Messiah.

"Jude quotes from the Book of Enoch..."....Or the person, who wrote this part in Enoch, quoted from Jude... perhaps Jude wrote that because of the prophecy spoken by the actual enoch(orally passed from generation), but the one who wrote the book of enoch, quoted from the book of Jude.
if we could get our hands on the chronovisor (i don't know if this device actually existed as there are claims that show this device exists but it's hidden in the vatican city), we could probably find out all the truth we needed to know.
it was not included because it was written in Enoch that it should not be added to the cannon that was actually foretold to be made in Enoch. Enoch was also the Great Grandfather of Noah.
