GLIRICIDIA sepium: "A Wonder Tree for the Small Scale Farmer"

Over 230,000 small-scale farmers in Zambia are discovering the benefits of sustainable agriculture with a tree called Gliricidia sepium. Soils are feeding crops from nutrients supplied by this tree and not from chemical fertilizers. A growing relationship between Gliricidia, farmers and soils are offering important solutions to climate change, forest protection, and healthier food products.
