Welcome to my second day of solo travel, where I explored the famous Khajrana Ganesh Temple in Indore. This temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, known for helping devotees overcome life's obstacles and marking the beginning of new ventures across India.
Built in 1735 by the Holkar dynasty's Ahilya Bai Holkar, the temple holds a special significance. Legend has it that a priest had a vision of this idol submerged in a pond, prompting Ahilya Bai to excavate the area and establish the temple around it, protecting it from Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
Apart from the main Ganesh temple, there are a total of 33 other shrines within the temple complex. Visiting here, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility, surrounded by the well-maintained and clean premises.
