Inktober Sketching with New Fountain Pen and Ink. Let's Have Some Chameleon Fun!

- Inktober is once again upon us, so let me show you how I approach it with my trusty fountain pen and new (to me) Noodler's Golden Brown ink, as well as how I handle what could be a drawing-killing mistake! I had a rescue chameleon named Karma. She was most delightful.
Yep, my husband and I had a pet chameleon for some years and it was so much fun to watch! One night I got home late from work and could not find the chameleon in it’s enclosure! Our cat was hissing at a stuffed “animal” ghost that we had and as I got closer I could see the chameleon clinging to it and it had turned almost white to match the ghost! It was crazy to see! I would own one again in a heartbeat if I didn’t already have a farm on my hands! 😂
So cool to hear Ashley! I had no idea you could own them as pets. I have my black cat "Boo" and she's all we can handle, but love her so much. Thank goodness your cat kept it's distance and only hissed at him/her. Glad you liked the video... thanks for watching and draw on!

I like your chameleon drawing. I drew one for an Inktober prompt one year. Fun to draw and do a watercolor wash.
I am participating in Inktober #6. I follow the prompts which is challenging sometimes. My goal is to improve my drawing skill and inking technique besides having fun. I have a group of friends that join in and we share our drawings. Everyone looks forward to the “event”.

I love the drawing. I learned something new about the transparent skin - I love reptiles but I am more of a snake fan. Yes, peple have chameleons as pets as well...I watch a lot of youtube videos of reptile pet owners [for years I have been interested in other reptiles as well as amphibians (poinson dart frogs mostly) as pets, but so for I have only had a pet snake - red tail boa]. Oh, I am allegic to cats and dogs - I love them also - but that's the reason I like pet alternatives... ...btw, I was really hoping for that top hat.

Great work! You probably already know this, but Noodler's also makes a beautiful walnut ink, which is a rich, darker brown.
Hi @hpyle5592! I have seen that Noodler's has an ink called walnut, but I haven't picked it up yet... yet! 😉 Draw on!! BTW, does your YT name have to do with the great Howard Pyle by chance?
