From Dhorpatan to Phoksundo

A Short Snapshots of my Journey to Shey Phoksundo via Baglung-Rukum-Dolpa route starting from Dhorpatan. 17 days Journey.

Day 3 : Burtibang - Dhorpatan
Day 4: Dhorpatan-Falguni Pass-Thakurthali
Day 5: Thakuthali - Kayam Danda jharlung Tatopani
Day 6: Tatopani-Himgaun- Guibang- Dule
Day 7: Dule-Phedi
Day 8: Phedi-Pupal Pass-Purbang
Day 9: Purbang-Jhongla Pass-Thaala
Day 10: Thaala-Dunai
Day 11: Dunai-Suligad-Kagni-Sangta-Chhepka
Day 12:Chhepka-Thaplobari- Ryachi-Sunduwa
Day 13: Sunduwa-Shey Phoksundo lake-Sunduwa
Day 14: Sunduwa-Chhepka-Kagni
Day 15: Kagni- Juphal
Day 16: Juphal-Surkhet-Nepalgunj ✈️

Can we go directly to say fuksundo without reaching to Dunai from dhorpatan

No from Dhorpatan you have to reach Dunai as its the only place from the Jongla pass to stay overnight.

Can you please add some more details to your itinerary like how many hours does it take and also it would be great if you add the altitude of certain places.i am planning to go this October so can you help?

neeru chawal There are 3 altitude pass height above 4000m-4500m where you can have difficulty but rest aside should be a easy ride with those magnificent views.

Brother what was the average cost per day during trekking for Nepali??

lete iikan It depends upon where you are going but generally it shouldn’t be more than Nepali Rs 1000-1500. My above video tour costs was around 35k

Yam Thapa Actually we went there without map but you can get one in dhorpatan hunting Reserve plus the itinerary is given in the caption section too. Do check that out.

Yam Thapa We went there this Dashain starting from Ghatasthapana. But the routes will be crowded during Bhaisakh/Jestha due to Yarsagumba collection. It took us 17 days as given in above bios.
