How does the tub NOT FREEZE?

Have you thought of getting a black cover for the tub? It would absorb what little energy the sun is giving and maybe keep the water thawed longer. It would also block the wind.
We have something similar in Michigan and it's always a really refreshing reset! You seemed really down in this video.
I wonder, who is able to learn a language in 3 weeks? I'm on babble for several months now, trying to learn Swedish, but I'm very far away away from communicating in Swedish. And I'm very consistent, every day for up to an hour (including the time on another language app) Some days more some days less. 🫣
Something I've learnt from you Cecilia, is no matter how I feel or the weather...I must go outside for a walk with my dogs because that's something that has a positive impact on my mood and helps me a lot to control my anxiety...

Riiiiight!!! Cecilia is actually my most effective antidepressant. I know it sounds cliche. But watching her videos is so inspiring and can get me out of a depressive episode much faster than any of the techniques I’ve learned in therapy. ❤️

Cold water plunges and even just taking cold showers has helped me soooo much with my anxiety/panic/nervous system issues.
I once got in a cold bath of 55 degrees F and thought I’d die, I’d never been so cold! 😅 Can’t imagine what your bath felt like, Cecilia!

Breathing through the discomfort is important at first, the body has a natural response to cold by shooting up it's temperature to warm itself again
My daughter has our 2 year old grand daughter and so she is dealing with stress all the time. She introduced me to Green Compass CBD. One gummy in the evening soothes the savage beast! Stress is best dealt with on all fronts including a good nights sleep, fresh clean air, peace and quiet, healthy thinking, me time (mute phone), exercise, a good diet, and I definitely admire your ICE BATHS!! I agree. I don't understand anyone willing to take the risk of the bad benefits from it which are many. A friend of my cousin had a minor heart attack after an ice bath. Doc said it causes all the blood vessels to constrict which is why it happened. NO THANKS!

I started taking cold showers a few years ago but hadn't taken one for months until I watched you taking your cold bath and felt inspired to restart my cold shower routine! It feels really good and is so beneficial for my mental health

Hi Cecilia- your optimism and joy in the everyday reminds me of my niece who I don't see very often. Thanks for the laughs. But take it from a middle aged woman- I'm pretty sure that a lot of menopausal closet Cecilia watchers could take your ice bath suggestions but simply have a really cold shower to help relieve anxiety which comes with a mid life crisis and hormonal changes blah blah blah. yaaayyy!!! Thank you for sharing your reset with us. It's also a great reminder to do the things that push us outside our comfort zone in order to heal and to grow. And you NAILED it with saying it's a kind of cold that's 'scary', I was like 'YES THAT'S IT!'. It feels like a kind of attack almost... so scary! But it's so important to have the right mindset going in, and knowing how to control the breath. But also... can we just have a moment for Grim's lil FAAACCCEEEEE?!?!? GAH!

So excited. I didn’t get the gloves until I did the Svalbad ocean dip on Svalbard with -.5°C water and how saltwater freezes colder than tap water- I got ice burns on my palms from climbing down the ladder and touching the ice for only seconds !

Today, when you discussed your struggles, you showed a side of you that is so relatable. Hello from Cincinnati, where it will get up to 81 today! My therapist told me that I could put a cold compress to the right side of my neck and or dunk my face in cold water to calm anxiety.

To anyone who experience anxiety, I also highly recommend this. For me it has been incredibly efficient. You don't need to go all in with a tub and -15 degrees. I finish my usual shower with about 1min of cold water and it works too. And don't use the coldest setting on the tap either if that is too overwhelming, just turn it down enough for it to feel cold and shocks your body. After 3-5 times you will realise the difference in every day life. AMAZING!

And yes to cold baths! I just started ending my showers in cold water again. I stopped last fall, because I wanted more comfort, but I feel sooo alive afterwards and do at least 45 secs of cold shower at the end whenever I remember. It's so good. I live in a big city and dont have an outdoor plunge. You gotta do what works for you.
I think you should do some guided tours of svalbard eventually because i would love to come and hang out with you for a few days. Ive been watching a few years now and youre in my top 5 fav youtubers of all time. Your channel is so wholesome, your personality is so cute, i love it all.

When I was around 10, all us kids were having a shower one after the other, and my Uncle came in to the bathroom and said to me ‘put it on cold at the end, cold, it’s good for your skin’. In Australia in summer that is not hard..in winter it is hard to do. To this day I do in summer, in cooler months I try, not always manage, to do. The cold water on my face and body is so enlivening. It is Autumn here, cooler in the morning now and am doing it daily again, re-remembering the lesson! Bless you, Uncle Bill, xx
