    yes please do a course on using your/handling your brush correctly think that will help. Another question I have been wondering about for some time is what are the thoughts about adding a Floetral (sold at home depot) instead of water, especially when working on trees and branches. I bought it for pour painting and by the description of the product I have always wonder if that is an option. Thank you again for all you do! So excited for Acrylic April

    What was that brush with the jagged bristles called? It sounded like she said "Foofee" (phonetically).
    I don't recall seeing one like that it stores I've been in and it looks exactly like what I've been needing. I actually tried to cut bristles in irregular lengths, but that didn't work THAT well (and pretty much destroys the brush!) - I had the right idea, but that 'foofee' brush already has bristles like that, only better!
    If anyone has suggestions or knows the ACTUAL name for that brush PLEASE reply here, if you will.
    Thanks in advance!!

    • @wallybeery4058
      @wallybeery4058 Před 2 měsíci

      I'm not talking about the filbert brush (mentioned around 16:00-18:00 roughly).
      But it seems the strands of the feathers are being referred to as 'floof' (variant of 'fluff', Im guessing), so maybe 'floofy' wasn't the name of the brush? I'm a little confused here!

    • @TheArtSherpa
      @TheArtSherpa  Před 2 měsíci

      This is the Filbert Grainer by Princeton brush in their Vewlvet touch line. Sometimes brush makers call these a grass comb but those sometimes make too much of a rake stroke

    • @wallybeery4058
      @wallybeery4058 Před 2 měsíci

      I have the impression you manually cut some of the bristles to insure there's space between them - thus leaving a series of individual, but grouped lines. Whereas, if the bristles were not cut, they would tend to 'clump' together, leaving more of a solid smear. Is this correct?
      I'm a little apprehensive about cutting up a brush without some assurance it would work as I hope (brushes aren't cheap as I'm sure you well know!). But if it DOES produce the desired results, I'd feel it is worth it (plus the cut up brush may prove useful in other situations, I would think). With the exception of a few viewings of tutorials, I'm pretty much self taught and I'm OK with being as such - I feel it's a way of insuring I have a distinctive 'style' (for better or worse). Plus I found that trying techniques suggested in tutorials didn't work well for me, but I may try this since several previous efforts of my own design didn't work the way I wanted either!
      Thanks for reply - I appreciate and applaud the fact that you're making efforts to assist others, which in and of itself is quite admirable!!

    Hey talented people. Im not an artist but starting to learn. I painted a black and white abstract for my living room. How bad is it that i left the primed canvas as the white areas vs painting them white? Am I a laughing stock? 😢

    • @TheArtSherpa
      @TheArtSherpa  Před rokem

      Absolutely not, I imagine lots of people just leave white canvas, perhaps to save paint? 💞
