What a wonderful way to start your day - an amazing buffet of foods and vendors- that baklava and crepe looked to die for and Randy was in his element! You will have to come up with a Puerto Vallarta inspired ice cream for your shop! I feel like i'm on vacation with you - but now I'm hungry! haha
The baklava is my favorite! I eat 2 sticks every time we visit the market. It's simply too good to pass up.
I went to PV last December. I loved going to this market! I got so much stuff, I had to buy a bag from a vendor to carry all the food I bought! (I wanted the bag anyway!)

I would be at this market allll day! So many beautiful handmade things, yummmy food, spices, salsas...wow. But, Im so worried that Renee & Randy do mot wear big sunhats out everywhere!! Protect their faces, necks, etc from sun cancer! Glad they block though! I could sit on the beach but like that cute doggy I want shade!! Gorgeous place this year! 🤗🍓🏖

Thanks for the market tour! I'm sure it is even more exciting being there but I visit vicariously through you! I love baklava but have never seen it in a rolled fashion like that but it wouldn't diminish my taste buds for it. Those fresh berries and all the fresh fruit juices made my mouth water! I watched this vlog while in the dentist chair waiting for him to make my crown. Couldn't watch during the drilling but I was thinking about how quickly I could see your PV experience. Better than my morning experience for sure! 😂😂🤍

I am too old n have arthritis to go there n walk around the market but I can watch your vids which I have truly enjoyed..thank you for sharing..In our younger years we were always going camping n traveling in the states..now we are retired n have health issues but we are alive n really enjoy watching videos of different places..

We went to the Farmer’s Market so many years ago. It looks like it offers so much more now. But, it has been over 20 years….👍 The food was always amazing! Your food haul looks great! 👏😊Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊

The trip looks fun. I started giving my dog the newman's own dog treats and he loves them. I have a dog about Maxxie's size.

There are a number of online dog safe treat recipes to bake at home--so at least we do know what's in them. Up until the pandemic hit, a specialty bakery for pooches not far from me enjoyed brisk business with loyal patronage from near and far, due to its unique and healthy items.
We have a very small dog and have to watch very carefully when we give him treats (or he'd gain too much weight). He absolutely loves baby carrots. We just cut them up into very small pieces and he loves them. We use them as training treats. We know exactly what's in them (carrots), they are healthy, and he loves them.

I have been wondering how you were doing in Mexico. Now I know! Will get myself down there once the pandemic is gone. Just unwilling to fly at the moment but was glad to see everyone with masks on at the farmers market! I don't eat sugar but Randy's sandwich looked great and I bet that was really tasty! We just returned from PV on the 15th of February. We love this place! We come to PV every year for the last 20 years and stay in the Central area. This year we spent many days at the Red Onion and watched whales while we have lunch and read books.

We eat the Thai food at the market every time we go. We had been there the prior week and eaten from her Thai stand. This week we ate something different.

Renee, have you looked into maybe renting bicycles, Vespas or another zippy mode of personal transportation to get around? It's infinitely more bearable there, weather-wise, in winter than in summer, considering the area's close proximity to the equator and, while temps are warm, they're not yet oppressively hot. You can then always do as the locals do---take the requisite daily siesta around one or two in the afternoon like most of Latin America ---after you two finished your morning marketing and such.
Honestly, I only see people ride bikes on the Malecon because otherwise...the streets and sidewalks are too dangerous. They are cobblestone, uneven, and full of people. I prefer my afternoon siesta on the beach 🏖

I lived in Quito, Ecuador for 5 years so although I don't plan to travel to Mexico anytime soon, I love getting to "join" you when you are there enjoying the beaches, markets, etc. Thanks for sharing!

I have always felt safe in Puerto Vallarta. In past years we walked everywhere...day and night. This year because we stayed in Conchas Chinas we did have to taxi into town at night. But regardless we enjoy the bustle of the streets and vibe of PV as a city. We don't see or feel crime around us.
Would you ever consider vacationing someplace else, like the Caribbean Islands?
I have vacationed in the Caribbean many times....but my heart always goes back to Puerto Vallarta.

I took your advice and I went. I don’t think I saw one Mexican person there! Mostly tourists (largely American and Canadian)
The price of the food especially bread and vegetables was high. When I told my Mexican friends what I paid they laughed! There are better markets for food and bread
The market attracts tourists and expats (as I stated in the video). And yes, you could search around at small local markets and find less expensive vegetables, but he vegetables sold at the market are organic and higher in price. I love the market because it's a gathering of local crafts, food, produce, music, and really showcases the fantastic vibe of Puerto Vallarta.
