Glad you're watching AU Survivor, I know there will be some parts you won't like especially with non-eliminations through the next seasons, but there will be parts you'll love too. I think you'll like some casting choices in the following seasons, but I won't say more.
Hopefully I'm remembering this correctly but I think the editing might be influenced by the fact that the numbers weren't solid enough to guarantee future seasons. It did pretty okay, but it was/still is being beaten by a large margin by the top show (Married at first sight).

There are 9 AU seasons, 24 episodes each, they usually broadcast 3 episodes per week, some seasons were 3 episodes per week pre merge and 2 episodes per week post merge

I've been watching Australian Survivor from the beginning. In my personal opinion, the first three seasons of the AU reboot are amazing - maybe even top 10 seasons for me. After that, it starts to go downhill (5-10), especially with the editing. I'm probably in the minority here, but I think George's seasons are some of the worst. That being said, Titans vs Rebels was really good, and it seems like they're trying to learn from their mistakes from the editing side. There is a lot to like about Australian Survivor though, even if I have my qualms about some of their decisions and styles. Don't let me colour your opinion too much, I just know what I've liked about it and what I didn't. You're in for a pretty fun ride regardless.

This makes me happy. I just joined your Patreon based on my favorite Survivor Podcaster going over my favorite iteration of Survivor. I enjoyed the episode even though I started with CVC and never went back to the earlier seasons. I'll be interested in your developing opinion of JLP. I don't think he's a better host than Jeff, but I do enjoy him more. I acknowledge it will be a rough ride with some up and down seasons, but at the end of the day the gems this show produces are really spectacular.

I really enjoyed AU Survivor more than US in the past few years. AU Survivor 2016 is a bit rough but 2017 is great. Also 3 of the last 4 seasons have been amazing 10/10. Enjoy this journey you are in for a ride.
Also the non-elimination episodes sadly happen every season 2-3 times usually. Because they have to fill episodes for the network, but trust me, they get better eventually at how they handle the non-elimination episode twists. It's probably the worst part of AU Survivor but all the other aspects are better compared to the US in my opinion.
a lot of people dont like this season but i really enjoyed it and in my opinion the endgame is great
I refer to it by the reboot season numbers. Production doesn’t ever count the original two seasons. But if you want to avoid confusion then you can just use the year instead of the season number.

I will also say that the show eventually has secondary titles that you will probably end up using like we do for US Survivor but the first two seasons are just regular Australian Survivor.

Yess!! i also began Survivor AU recently i just watched Champions v Contenders (2019) and i was doing chronological but i think now im gonna watch Brains v Brawn (2021) which people always recommend. Phil imo this season gets really interesting in the merge and the last couple of episodes are also really good
I'm into it so far! Think I'm going to really enjoy what's to come! After all, it's Survivor!

I don't know how anyone does it live. But I am watching in a group I was invited too! People smarter than me will need to help me out soon!

I was invited to a group! I know there are a lot of different ways people watch. This is just how I'm doing it right now!
Bhanu is the sole reason why I still prefer season 43 over 46.
There's a couple rough seasons in there Phil, but there's some FANTASTIC stuff as well. Please stick with it. The 3 best seasons IMO are all fairly recent

Love Survivor AU but those non elimination episodes are rough. I heard they have to do 3 non elimination episodes per season due to the broadcasting deal.

Be careful Phil, they spoil the previous in every intro so when U.S vs Australia comes you might want to skip it or you’ll see the winner of the most recent season
I believe I'll be caught up by then, I just won't have released all of the episodes on Patreon yet!
Fiji is better than Cook Islands for that specific reason alone.
I'm just afraid to watch Australian Survivor because of the same exact reason as Season 2 of US Survivor in Australia sorry but I don't mean to confuse you at all.
