    Ubuntu Mint 20.20 worked fine on my Pro 3400 MT. I was able to get an AMD S9050 working fine but not in the X16 slot. I used an X1 riser to that card. A warning: The motherboard, at least mine, has only 2Mbit ROM and the bios upgrade that HP offers is a 4Mbit so not compatible. I am testing the board with a pair AMD FilrePro and win7x64 to see if I can get 4 cards to work for mining GRC. I posted over at the HP community about the improper bios and left photos of the breadboarded system. Hope this is useful to your followers!

      The official maximum is 8GB. Not sure if 16GB would work as it would need to support 8GB DIMMs. I guess the only way to find out is to test this.

    • @brams.
      @brams. Před 2 lety +1

      @MrLuka 339 it's max 8GB DDR3 modules. So 16GB max in Total. No XMP activation or RAM tuning in the BIOS, even the last one, so the SPD JEDEC speed is the max. (1600Mhz, true 800Mhz in Double Data Rate). The Gskill 2133Mhz CL10 XMP 1.65v DDR3 runs at only 1333Mhz CL9 at 1.5v.
      Better choose a DDR3 16GB kit running at 1600Mhz in JEDEC mode. Don't forget to choose the two same 2Rx8 DDR3 modules with chips on both sides, for 15% better performance than 1Rx8 slower modules with chips on only one side.
