Hi there, author of SCP-3700 here! This is a phenominal rendition/interpretation of my work, and I'm floored at the quality of production here. I can't even begin to imagine how long this took, and I have no words to properly describe how humbling and elated interpretative art and animations of my articles makes me.
One small nitpick tho, 3700-1 has both claws and manti-shrimp like clubs (IE, they are two separate sets of appendages). It's really a minor thing and not a terribly big deal.

This SCP is based on local pre-Christian legends from Orkney Islands. The entities represent two gods who are locked in struggle to determine the weather.
The lobster is a goddess called the Sea Mither (Sea Mother) and the Gulper eel is a god call called Teran, an angry god of storms.

The legend was born. The best animation and telling us what it is. Rather not being bored. Rather being impressed. I always replay because how good this video is.
I’ve been binging these out of order and seeing this after seeing some of your later videos really shows the progress in animation you’ve developed as you honed your skills.
The fact that this SCP even rescues foundation personnel proves without a doubt that either it has good intentions, or it knows that if it helps them they'll help it.

So 3700-1 wins in fall and winter whilst 3700-2 wins in summer and spring. I feel this is to maintain their sizes and the season changes in the area. But it seems like after the SCPF started interfering, the balance between them has been off

This is more of an inconvenience than a scary thing
Actually, this SCP was inspired from the Scottish mythology, Orcadian mythology, to be precise: the lobster is "Sea Mither", spirit of the summer day and the eel is "Teran", spirit of winter storm. The two fight each other and if Sea Mither wins, it's spring and summer, but if Teran, it's autumn and winter. Interestingly, Sea Mither is known to be able to contain the Nucklevee (SCP-3456) when she is in power during summer time.

I hadn't heard of this SCP before. It's decently interesting, but I'm more interested in the aspect of balance the two seem to embody. They generally alternate victories and demonstrate not only opposite demeanors, but also have markings on them of the opposite sexes. When one wins, the other becomes stronger so that it may achieve victory, and the cycle repeats. Not only that, but the Lobster winning seems to cause damage to the environment due to primarily overpopulation of certain creatures, while the Eel winning clears that space out and allows new life to come later.
I've always enjoyed opposing dynamics that influence how the world works in fiction. Yin-Yang is always fun for me.
I mean the eel also destroys land a lot and intends to kill people
I think 3700-1 has that affect as it tries to help humanity, but it ends up going too far.
@@him1517 The eel destroys buildings and life, but it doesn't destroy the island. The lobster DOES erode the island, being worse in the long run.
Plus the fact that the lobster winning also causes big damage to the area since, just like good things are multiplied, bad things also have a huge boom. Parasites would also have a huge boom, fishes might multiply, but the predators also multiply as well.

Yes, and the Foundation is screwing up their Yin-Yang relationship by helping 3700-1. If they let it happen normally, 3700-2 would still be quite small and 3700-2 rather large. When one of them loses, they grow and the winner shrinks.

Not really at an accelerated rate, if there are two cycles per year and 3700-1 has won 64 of them thanks to foundation aid then that means it has been winning for 32 years straight, also at the end of the original article the anomaly kinda erradicates itself with both kaijus killing each other and their prescence disapears entirely from the región

So 3700 is a literal stalemate between two Kaiju in the middle of the ocean. A never ending battle between a benevolent lobster and a malicious eel.
The symbolism behind this is also interesting. Judging by the effects of which creature, -1 or -2 can do, we can infer that they are avatars of the Greek deities Gaea and Uranus. Gaea being the Earth, and Uranus the sky.
3700-1 has the face of a woman painted on its carapace, indicating that Gaea was who created it. When -1 wins, the Earth experiences great bounty with life on it, what with the greater crop yields and mass population of sea life.
On the contrary 3700-2 is the avatar of Uranus. When -2 wins, the sky releases Uranus’ fury onto the land, reducing crop yields and unleashing massive storms.
3700-1’s deterioration could also mean one of two things. It means it either is weakening because of human damage to the Earth, or because of the imbalance that occurs if it wins too much.
This is all just a theory, but a feasible one.
So basically it's nerfing itself. What a fucking flex

If SCP-3700 2 wins and there's so many deadly storms, then use the TIV 2 which can withstand EF5 tornadoes and Cat 5 Hurricanes!
Fun fact: the TIV 2 can withstand about 230MPH/370KM/H of winds, it also has very strong armored plates surrounding it just like the dominator 3.
Their abilities and looks honestly looks like a monster I would make in 2nd grade
My theory is that whenever one wins that one gets smaller and the one who lost gets stronger because that way it shifts the tides in favor of the loser to keep balance
