@@TeaTosti I understand all too well. My daughter went through the same thing. I took her out of school at 15 because the school was absolutely no help, and refused to do anything about her bullies. The principal even tried to blame her..."I'm sure it's a two-way thing, and your daughter is doing something to antagonize them." Uh, no, bullies are bullies, they don't need a reason to bully. I told him that once my daughter was gone, they'd just find a new victim. Luckily, she's doing well now, but it took a long, long time for her to get over what she had been through, and she became pretty much a recluse, and even developed a drinking problem, which she overcame. She's 30 now, and is a healthcare provider, working with people who have dementia or who have suffered catastrophic brain injuries.
I wish that people knew, not just how much bullying can hurt at the time, but that there can be very long term effects as well.

Abusive parents, like mine, also say the same thing - that they abuse their kids for their kids’ benefit and in order to “toughen them up” so that they can “handle” the world. And the actual statistics prove that bullying and abuse actually makes people do a lot WORSE in life, while abusers and bullies typically do a lot better than their victims. Have you thought real hard about your words before you say them? Both before you say it them or after when you say 'oh this is fine..' and the fact she said that 'oh yeah I just don't think about what I say before saying it okayy' girl no stfu that jus means you dont care about thinking twice causing harm to them and won't keep shit to yourself. @@sandpiperr Totally true. I ended up having to go to the funerals of a few of my friends thanks to bullying. And I still suffer depression, ptsd and I got a blatant paranoia about anyone that approaches me or behaves like a normal respectful human being. If I can't control the situation I will think someone is against me and I gotta cut ties for my own safety because I don't wanna be the next person in a casket.
My therapist says the hyper vigilance is also more prominent cause I got autism and I can't tell when people fake behaviour or are genuine, honestly I can't really read body language in general or understand intonation. So the anxiety there got worse rather than better.
And worse is that for me the biggest blow never came from people my own age because thanks to my autism I thought being bullied was normal. No, the biggest blow came when adults started to disregard me because nobody with autism can study psychology and succeed. Was never reliable for projects or anything school related, nor sending lessons when i was sick. Then would cry and try to defend herself when i confronted her because she didn't want to admit to herself she was wrong (because a group of people excluded her due to a misunderstanding and she took it as bullying, while never questionning herself about was she was doing to me). People like her are never someone you could count on. Crossed paths with her years later, she's still just as bad and careless about others but she hides it more, and refuses to aknowledge what she did. Her then and current friends are exactly like i was, though they're starting to leave her now that they're getting to meet better people and see how bad she is.

This is NOT just a children's problem.
Adults everywhere are seriously affected by bullying every single day.
    We've gotta stop it.
Bystanders need to START SAYING SOMETHING if they see someone at their job or at their school being bullied.

A "sociopath" is someone who was traumatized to the point of loosing emotional empathy to self preserve. They can be good people, they just have little emotional empathy and instead use rational empathy. This is obviously far from her case seeing her cowardness and reaction to the backlash, plus seeing how she never mentioned being traumatized herself. Sociopaths are better than her, please avoid using medical terms to refer POS or it just gives the diagnosis a terrible reputation.

She used the exact same excuse as the girl in this video that she was "gOiNg ThRoUgH a LoT" and this girl was spoiled rotten. She was allowed to throw parties, she was everyone's friend and she got everything she wanted on a silver platter and then two weeks ago she said that I made her life a living hell and I "traumatised her" by venting to my friends about these experiences that I was going through while dealing on top of a shitty home life. I am a teenager from the UK who is now homeschooled due to how horrible the bullying at my secondary school was (and its only been like 2 years since then). I have autism and due to the stuff I did because of that (I had a bad habit of talking about the stuff I liked, and unfortunately my interests were seen as "weird" by the "cool kids", I also stimmed, got upset when it was too loud and often liked being alone, all of these things made me a target, I'm also a guy and I'm not traditionally masculine, here in the UK majority of the boys LOVE football, but I don't really have much interest in it cause the only sports I have an interest in are tennis and dodgeball, and even then I prefer other outdoor health activities like just going on a calming walk, because of that I got made fun of for being a "sissy")
The kids would mostly verbally bully me though it would get physical sometimes (trying to steal my school supplies and trying to trip me over in the hallway) at first I tried to ignore it but it just got worse, the kids would be saying some awful things about me and they would spread rumours that they knew 100% weren't true, someone once said I watched dirty anime material (which I didn't, not only am I not attracted to that I also believe I'm too young to be watching that stuff and it could affect my developing brain) just because a lot of my interests were animes and manga
They'd also constantly call me a r*tard which is a very horrible word to call an autistic person, and they'd tell me to off myself, and while I mentioned before it thankfully didn't get that physical they'd also threaten to "jump me" after school, which of course that never happened but I was terrified
When the girl in the video said "if you're being bullied you just need to be more confident and start standing up for yourself" I got super angry, its not that easy, I tried to tell the kids to stop, I tried telling the heads of year, I tried telling my Mum whom called the school, I tried insulting them back, I tried to be more confident in my interests, hobbies and appearance, I really did try yet nothing changed, the teachers at school did nothing even after my Mum called them, the kids never stopped when I told them it was affecting my life and they'd just laugh when I tried to insult them back, and when I tried to be more confident the kids would just tear me back down again
Not only was the bullying giving me bad mental health, it was also giving me violent thoughts, I thought that maybe if I became violent and hurt them kids they'd be scared of me and stop, I had fantasies of beating them up in front of the whole school and humiliating them like they did to me, it got to the point where I actually punched one of them at some point, that specific bully stopped making fun of me but none of the others did and after that I was too scared to be violent with those kids because I didn't want the adults in my life to think I was a troubled deliquent or being sent to a juvenile place
Eventually I was put into home schooling because it was to the point where I was suicidal (and also some things to do with my autism which I wont get into). Most kids who are victims of bullying aren't so lucky though, they have to deal with this throughout their whole school lives and majority of them don't even have parents who care enough to take action and call the school let alone get them homeschooling. Everday thousands, millions of kids in schools all over the world are bullied to the point where they want to end their own lives, my heart goes out to you if you are being or have been bullied, please stay strong ❤

“Bullying is ok and it builds character”
Now I will say that for some people they took that trauma and used it as fuel to pump up and improve in life but not everyone will face that trauma the same way, some people take it out on themselves very badly then it doesn’t end well, by their logic that’s like saying “Guns are great and they exist to protect you” which yeah guns can exist to defend yourself but at the same time if you give a gun to the wrong person, there’s gonna be bad things and bad consequences, I just wanna say if you notice bullying please reach out to someone🙏

I got bullied in middle school and the beginning of high school. That was about six to eight years ago. And the things my bully did to me, not to mention how TERRIBLY the school handled it, is still sitting in the back of my brain. I don't think about it as often as I used to and I honestly forget she even exists, but when I remember, I remember it vividly. Trauma doesn't go away so quickly.

She is right about the K-Drama bullying though, most of it is based on true/inspired by real-life stories, and suicide has been the 1# cause of death for young people there for years and unfortunately is only getting worse thanks to social media. Kids always have a weird urge to make fun of others but the public shame normally makes them realize how sad and pathetic it is. I guess she didn't get it in high school so the internet comes to right the wrong, very satisfying.
Edit: if anyone is interested in bullying culture in South Korea this doc is recent and is even worse shit than i imagined czcams.com/video/hnc5d-6RVso/video.html

True! I realized the Internet joke "Bring bullying back" is made to justify shaming people who doesn't fit in societal BS standards. Then, you have these total goblins treating a person like Kick The Buddy ragdoll and it's not just insecurities - dominance. Amusement, seeing others' pain is actually common than people think. Even if we fight against the sadism, some people will contribute to it due to fear or urge for power.

Kdrama bullying is realistic tho, but it still don't justify other countries bullying. Verbal/Cyber/Sexual bullying can still hurt people, just because korean bully's hurt more physically their victims doesn't mean we shouldn't care about other victims.

I was bullied throughout high school and it’s only in the last year or so (Thankyou therapy and time), that I feel like I could walk past my bullies in the street and not feel true all encompassing terror. I haven’t seen any of these people since I was 16, I’m now 25. Whenever I have insecurities about myself, whether it’s physical or mental, it’s always their voices I hear in my head. It’s affected some of my romantic relationships throughout my 20s so far, because a lot of the bullying revolves around my appearance and how hilarious it would be if anyone wanted to be with me because I was so weird and ugly. The fact that this girl thinks people just need to stop caring and get over it is fucking mind blowing.
