In both of these, Atriox shows a simple yet effective strategy: he figures Cutter may figure out a way to win *somehow,* and thus leaves a trap for him if all else fails. Then he lets the encounter play out like normal, secure in the knowledge that he'll win no matter what. And I just learned a valuable lesson in strategy from a fake car commercial advertising a video game!

He bested 3 of those Spartans in what was basically a 1v3 fight. The Covenant's best warriors (e.g. Thel 'Vadamee) could probably defeat most Spartans 1v1, but I've never heard of anyone other than the Didact beating 3 Spartans at once.

Franchise saving campaign with amazing improvements and great world building
Gameplay that at higher levels could use some more balancing but is a great game if you like strategies (which I do in this case).
Yet because they were building up to infinite they couldn’t do anything with the franchise until they knew it’s direction.
They teased brining the spirit of fire into the mainline games in the post credit scene and I’ll be damned if it doesn’t happen soonish. I wanna see cutter and laskey, Isabel and Roland (if he’s still alive) , Jerome and buck (the ODST that could and the Spartan who almost couldn’t).

It’s decent puppet work on the mouth. Body movements are a bit stiff and the lip movements themselves. But still good looking at the textures of the skin and armor.

The Banished are a Marauding faction they weren't equipped to fight a full scale war with Base Builder like the Spirit of Fire..
While the Infinity on the other hand had was one ship instead of a fleet fighting against a faction of Pirates and Scavengers

Spirit of Fire was damaged and never had a chance for repairs, refitted and replaced the supplies and manpower that they lost at the end of Halo wars 1. Plus Spirit of Fire role is for ground support then ship to ship combat.
Infinity is one of the most advanced ship in the Halo universe, even ram straight through the strom Covenant fleet.

Atriox and Halo Wars literally saved the franchise. The writing for 4 and 5 was complete garbage. Joseph Staten and few others fixed the broken mess that was made by using that material.

@@Smitty19966 Ever since Halo 4, or perhaps Halo 3, the Halo saga has suffered from a serious villain problem. Who can be the big bad of the saga? Is it Truth? The Gravemind? 343 Guilty Spark? I think this problem was only solved in Halo Wars 2 by introducing Atriox, a villain that served as the perfect opposite to the Chief, the antithesis to everything the Chief stands for.
Also, Cortana became the Darth Vader of Halo. She had commited so many atrocities that she was beyond redemption. The only way to salvage the character's legacy was to kill Cortana. Her deeds will not be forgiven, until she merits.

I'm now imagining a deleted scene in Halo Infinite where Atriox walks into a room with Escharaum and the Blademaster reading the latest issue of Playsangheli and he busts in singing "A T R I O X AAAAATRRRRIIIIOX!" and repeats until someone hits him with a hammer.
When the first Halo Wars came out. I was so excited. Ensemble studios made the first games I ever played, the original age of empires trilogy and it was sad to see them get shut down by Microsoft but Halo Wars was a success. They actually made an RTS very playable and streamlined for a controller scheme and introduced the genre to a lot of console players. We also got to meet red team and a few other cool characters.
Who would have thought though, even after all the Halo Wars one got for not being a "real" Halo game.. that Halo Wars 1 and 2 would save the series. Especially with two introducing the banished and a new conflict that can be focused on instead of the horrible and failed created uprising and Prometheans.

Even after 4 years I was recommended this yesterday morning and it's still as funny now as it was back then. This was a very unique and interesting marketing idea, and I love 343 for doing this, they really hit gold with this marketing idea, all the jokes they did really made me chuckle, especially the banter between Cutter and Atriox, and when Atriox wins in the end inspite of Cutter's efforts, it's all funny to me, I love this so much it's such a funny and uniquely special marketing idea and it's so great to watch and chuckle thanks to it. It's nice that I'm being recommended this even years later and that it's still here even after Halo Wars 2 no longer has support from 343, even after that we're still being recommended these amazing marketing videos. That's the power of the recommendation algorithm and I will not complain for that.
