Actually I had never seen the video to this song but I enjoyed it. The name of the actor playing Papá is Danny Aiello who amongst his many roles played the pizza shop owner in Do The Right Thing. He passed away in 2019. 🙏🏽✌🏽❤️

When I was in my mid-30's a long time ago, Madonna was my favorite female singer and this song will always be one of my favorites from her. "Dress You Up' is another one of my top 5 Madonna songs. It's the most beautiful moment in the video and nobody seems to pay it any attention whatsoever. It's the video producer's way of visually offering proof that what she's saying about him treating her well is more than a flight of fancy. You know at that moment that it's set to endure.

I remember when this came out the Catholic Church condemned it. The Catholic Church. Notorious for being against abortion. But instead of seeing the actual message, they declared Madonna was actively encouraging teenagers to get pregnant. 🙄
