Wishing you and your loved ones a happy new year! An abundance of good health, happiness, and self-fulfillment for us all! What do you wish for this year?
I hope 2022 is a fantastic year for you! My biggest wish for 2022 is: gradual healing of people's mental health, which has been particularly challenged by the past two years. So much pivoting, uncertainty and losses of all sorts. Would be helpful if external factors stabilized/got more manageable (pandemic) but even if the stability comes in fits and starts and there's a new normal, I still hope people can make a lot of progress in healing mentally/psychologically.❤🙏
@@hannahmoore9215This was so thoughtful and I agree with you Hannah. The world has certainly changed these past few years and has touched everyone differently. I also hope for healing too. Hoping the same for you too. Happy new year and have a good rest of the weekend!
Thanks man...my mom is sick and getting older. I know some of her cooking like Somlor Machu Kreung, Cha Kreung, and other Southeast Asian foods. I just wanted to be able to carry the tradition to my future kids so it's great to watch your vids to get more in touch with traditional ethnic foods.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom Alan and I wish her a speedy recovery and comfort. Food is such a big part of the Southeast Asian culture. It's what helps us feel connected to those we love and to the many, who came long before us. The elders are certainly getting older. It's great for us to know how to make these traditional foods and to pass on the knowledge. Happy new year to you and your family!
In the Philippines , we cook a similar dish which have become a favorite and considered special. The shrimp paste contain a lot of umami thus gives any dish it's mixed in delicious.
Gosh, you're so creative with your cooking, have you ever thought about opening up your own restaurant? I hope you'll gain thousands and thousands more subscribers this coming year because you sure deserve it!
That's really nice of you to say! I never thought about opening a restaurant because I just like to cook for fun. I enjoy making these videos and sharing them with you all. Thank you so much for your blessing. Happy new year!
