I remember when I tried to give away a Sony 32" tube with matching stand I couldn't sell it or give it away and there was nothing wrong with it sad.

Don't forget to press reset for about 5 seconds before measuring each new device, else the timer and draw are cumulative. It doesn't reset automatically just because you plug in a different device. Reset does not reset the rate per KWh you set from your utility company , just the parameters for measuring the usage of a particular device!

steve b Hi Steve. You can set the rate per KWh very easily. Press and hold the purple set button for a few seconds until the display starts flashing the monetary cost per unit (the default is $0.25), then use the up/down buttons to set the price of electricity where you live. I do this to include taxes and other charges for a more real world cost, so I set mine to $0.119 per KWh, I live in Indiana so electricity is fairly cheap. Once you have set your per unit cost, simply hit and release the set button to save your per KWh cost to memory. Hope this helps.

steve b I forgot to add, that pressing and holding the reset button will reset the cumulative counters, this way you can work out the cost and power used for each separate appliance, over a given period of time. For things such as a fridge or freezer that use variable amounts of power over time, take a 24 hr measurement for a more accurate cost over time analysis.

around 18:00 you said it's model P4460 and I believe that's what it says on the back of the pkg.
They really piss me off, because on the back of the actual meter, that one you have it says P4460.01.
Some do and some don't. I want to know the difference between the 2 model #'s.
I think I have seen some of each kind.
What a lazy company to be so inconsistent and unclear in their info. between the models.
Does anyone know the difference ?

I have been trying to find something like or an equivalent to this, for larger home appliances, like a 240 volt, 30 amp clothes dryer with a 4 prong NEMA 14-30P electric cord plug. Any suggestions?
